Mackem, guests here are tolerated if they are on their very best behaviour. Calling someone a manc cunt, even if provoked, doesn't constitute best behaviour. One more crack likke that and you are done.

Think before you speak mate Why? His family could have gone to watch a relative training, doesn't have to be Carrick, unless they inbreeders. A family doesn't just constiture brothers and sisters you know. So, please engage the grey matter before speaking.

wytheshawered1973, I'd imagine 10 million would be about right for Carrick given his age and poor form for the last 12 months. But considering that the money is highly unlikely to be re-invested in the team i'd think keeping Carrick is a better option. He could get some form back. And Hargreaves is bolloxed.

Correct me if im wrong here but youve got Scholes, Fletcher, Gibson, Hargreaves, Anderson Then if Sneijder comes which is rumoured. He aint gonna want to sit on the bench. He aint even guarenteed a place on the bench with his poor form last season He'd be back in the north east, near family, and playing week in week out I think itd be a good move for all concerned

You got your reaction then you call them a "Manc Cunt." This is not acceptable here, although we know disagreements can arrive on forums. You got what you wanted, then you complain that you have got a warning and "he gets the same warning as me." That is beyond childish. Now, back on-topic, Carrick knows that he is going to stay at Old Trafford as he has the backing of the best manager in the world. Sir Alex knows what Carrick is capable of, and if a team of Sunderlands wealth wants to buy Carrick, then they are going to fork-out £18million+ easily. If Milner is worth £20million and he has won nothing, imagine the value of Carrick, it doesn't take a genius to work out the value of Carrick is superior to that of Milners.

Let's keep this pleasant. If it's a case of WUM then it'll soon be apparent and dealt with accordingly. And if it's true then fair enough.

A bid for Carrick in double figures should definately be considered, although, I'd hate to see him leave in spite of all my complaining. He has no bollocks, but when on song he oozes class. If only Brucie could sit him down, knock some gumption into him, and send him back.
Maybe that's why he was "at Sunderland's training ground", balls training.

He has had a bad 12 months, but if we were to sell him, and they are desperate to have him, then why not bump up the price, otherwise we will be selling at a loss. You have to admit that any player can have a bad 12 months, not just Carrick.

Mackem: Hargreaves is unlikely to play for several months, if ever again. Scholes is in his last season, likely to play in about half our games. Anderson is unlikely to play for several months through major injury. Gibson is not yet ready to carry the load. Sneijder or any other major CM signings are starting to look unlikely.
That leaves only Darren Fletcher as our only sure thing.
Not to mention Carrick seems to be one of Ferguson's "favorites."
I'm not saying a move is impossible, but I wouldn't get too excited if I were you.

Bruce is no mug he knows what players values are If the price aint right we'll move on. Fergie knows the score when it comes to this stuff if he wants the sale he's gotta meet halfway

Oh and I think we could get more for him and he is still top 4 quality so this rumour is all a no go for me.

I almost piss myself laughing when i read some of the hyperbole surrounding Carrick - one of the best passes! when he's on form he's one of the best! what he's best at is ten yard passes to the side, the guy is a crab and constantly misses the incisive forward pass almost as much as Anderson. The guy plays well when everybody else plays well.
If i was confident that the money would be used on a quality starting midfielder i'd bite Sunderland's hand off, but i'm not confident so i'm inclined to keep him.
