FIS Grand Prix Ski Jumping 2007 opens in Hinterzarten (GER)
The 14th edition of the FIS Grand Prix Ski Jumping will begin with a team event in Hinterzarten (GER) next Saturday, August 11th. Sunday’s individual competition in Hinterzarten will kick off the 2nd so-called “Four-Nations-Grand-Prix” which includes events in Hinterzarten (GER), Courchevel (FRA), Pragelato (ITA) and Einsiedeln (SUI). This year’s final will take place in Klingenthal (GER) on Saturday 6th October. For the complete schedule, please click here.
The summer Ski Jumping competitions will incorporate all the rule changes for the 2007/2008 season. The most significant change is the increased importance of the qualification as only the best ten (10) athletes are pre-qualified for the competitions. “The FIS Grand Prix Ski Jumping is an important opportunity for us to test our rule changes in practice before the on-snow season. Besides the impact of the change in the number of pre-qualified jumpers, I am looking forward to seeing how the introduction of the four semi-professional Technical Delegate Assistants (TDAs) will help us improve the quality of our events next season,” commented Walter Hofer, FIS Race Director Ski Jumping.

He's such a pathetic waste of space that bloke, given our team such a bed rep over the years. I probably will end up flicking between the two to be honest, looking forward to the jumps!
