A lot of people have been talking bout Carrick being a definite starter in this match ahead of Anderson and i can see where there coming from as Carrick has been playing some brilliant stuff over the past few months and i've gotten quite fond of him.My only worry would be that if he starts, Essien starts in midfield for chelsea, coz to be honest i can see him pummeling Carrick into the ground,I think Anderson could handle that physical battle much better than Essien, but then again carricks passing is top notch and he can open up any Defence once he gets time on the ball, but will he get time on the ball ? i dont think he will,so this is the team i'd start
Van Der Sar Brown,Rio,Vidic,Evra Hargreaves Anderson,Scholes Tevez,Rooney,Ronaldo

I've booked the day off (04.45 KO our time), so win or lose I can celebrate .... or drown my sorrows!
I said in a thread I created ages ago (at quarter final time) that Chelsea is my least preferred opponent for many reasons. I think they have our number plus a lot of my local football team members are fans, so I just couldn't bear the gloating! It's going to be tough, but if we turn up we can do it! (you'll be able to hear my bum squeaking from there!)

I'm confident going into this after hearing Fergie last night talking about Ronaldo. Apparently he was one of the biggest influences in the dressing room against barca, getting everybody up for the game and getting them going at half time. He knows that this is the biggest stage he's ever been on and he has to perform and i think along with the others he'll be the difference.
For me the difference between United and Chelsea is that United always have more to give and a variety of ways to give it, but Chelsea are very fixed in their ways and don't really have another level to go to, you know what your facing and that won't change so with over a week of preparation we should be ready and able to beat them.

Anyone know of anywhere with a good atmosphere to watch it here in Manchester? Or if they'll be having a big screen at Old Trafford?

Well, thanks to a minority of Rangers fans, there will be no big screens set-up in Manchester for the Champs League Final! Not too sure what will be arranged at OT though. Shame that a mindless minority has ruined an event yet again.

SAHA'S FIT? BLOODY HELL. I do have a question for us fans, if utd were to win with a late goal like Ole who would you want to score it? In a perfect world? Gary Neville. The man lives and breathes United, but as he won't play I'll settle for Vida. I would play Fergie's favoured 4-1-2-2-1, with the second '2' playing wide. We really don't want Chelski dominating the midfield for long periods of the game. I really think we will do it in Moscow, it's fate, destiny, all that pallava. We come good on major European anniversaries. '68 - Decade since Munich, '99 - Sir Matt's Birthday. '08 - 50 years since Munich. On a watching the game side of things, and this may not be the right place, but where is everyone watching it? I for one am going to Manchester, but now they say there will be no outdoor screens. Are the only places putiing something on Sam Platts (sold out) and The Palace?
