Yes, but too early. May be we just post news in here and not discussions until the game nears. Mods, any ideas?

What formation do you think SAF will use a more safe 4 5 1 or attack minded 4 4 2 ? Personally i hope we go for it having Rooney and Tevez up front .Carrick is a player that for me has really proven me wrong i feel he could really come into his own in this final.I would play the same 11 as played Wigan but Park would be a question mark i still dont rate him..

Well, the problem is that if we go for a 4-4-2,then chelsea may dominate the mid-field quite comfortably. But,having said that,we play our best football with two up top,so its very tricky really.Hopefully sir alex will get it right on the day as he usually does.

Yeah, i agree, i think it's a tad too early to be talking about the final. What else is there to talk about? United buying injury prone players such as Mickey Mouse Owen?! At this time, the two main positives for United are 1) our confidence is high after winning the Premiership, and 2) we have a fully fit, including SAHA(!), squad. However, Saha will no doubt be tackled by an ant and his leg will fall off in training! Chelsea on the other hand have injury concerns over Terry and Drogba. It would help our cause if Drogba didn't make the final, but we should not concern ourselves with chav issues! I think the midfield battle will be key; therefore SAF has to select what he thinks is our most combative, creative force in the middle of the park (no pun intended). SAF has already stated that Scholes will play, so that leaves 2/3 (depending on 433 or 442) from Hargreaves, Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Park, & Nani. I would put Hargreaves in the holding midfield position, as this is where Chelsea are dangerous. The other berths are up for grabs. The back five effectively picks itself and Rooney and Ronaldo will spearhead the attack, alongside Tevez perhaps? That's me done for now.....

SAHA'S FIT? BLOODY HELL.
Typical, waits for the season to finish to get back to fitness, he'll stay injury free till about the end of august I bet ya.
I do have a question for us fans, if utd were to win with a late goal like Ole who would you want to score it?

And that man is Carlos Tevez.

Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes - one of them would be my ideal last minute match winner.

It'd be great for Scholes but he had the great moment against Barcelona, Giggsy had a great moment scoring to seal the title on the day he equaled Charltons record.
I'd love to see Rooney get it. I think he deserves it, and I can see him getting to. Other than that it'd be great to see someone like Park that would make me smile.

I suppose and Rio's had his goals against the Dippers. Ronnie's claiming all the plaudits so he can fuck off. I was thinking Rooney too but being an old romantic want Scholes or Giggs to do it. It'd be nice for Wazza - he deserves it as much as anyone. To be honest though I couldn't give two shits who scored it, a last minute winner would be the most important thing. What about a Terry own goal though, eh?

A Terry own goal would be hilarious no doubt. However, what about this scenario - United launch an attack in the 89th minute, with the teams locked at 1-1, and the ball lands at Rooney's foot 25 yards from goal. He steps to the right and unleashes a piledriver towards goal. John Terry dives at full stretch to head (palm) the ball away, however the ball is hit with such force that Terry's (already dislocated) right arm flies off into the top corner. The ball is then deflected into fat Frank's 'spare tyre' and rebounds (bounces) back in the path of Rooney, who is feeling slightly nauseated at the sight of JT's arm flying into the goal. Rooney mishits the ball which cannons off Cech's head, knocking his head guard off in the process, and lands on the goal line. The linesman awards the goal, even though he was throwing up at the time!! BTW Before you cry "you sick bastard", my 4-year old son loves these kind of stories!
