Hurrah, football is back!! Hopefully an easy first game for us this season after we scored 11 goals in the 2 games against the Tool Army last season. No Ronaldo for a couple of months but we have the players to cope and it looks like Wayne Rooney will be fit for this one so i'm predicting a comfortable win against the big club Newcastle . Doesn't look like we are going to see any new faces in time for this game so its as you were really. EVDS Brown Vidic Rio Evra Fletcher Scholes Carrick Giggs Tevez Rooney I'll go for a 3-0 win. Might see Neville rather than Brown I suppose but maybe Fergie will use him sparingly this season, but he is our captain so it will be interesting to see who gets more games. Rest of the team pretty much writes itself with Nani to replace Fletcher once he is back from suspension or Anderson when he's back from Olympic duty. Ill be in the South Stand for this one! Football's back! How i've missed you #unitedbanner# #yahoo# #rock# #dance#

I'll say 2-0 easily..cba with the line up..but yeh 2-0 maybe less we'll have to see where the goals are coming from first without Ronny

Can't wait now its gonna be great! First game of the season always has a buzz around it ;D I'll be in T2 of the Stretford End. I think 3-1 will be good for us with Tevez and O'shea getting on the scoresheet I think that Nev will be brought on midway through the second half if we're winning. Ill be in the South Stand for this one! Ohbad luck on that one Chris

It'll be a similar line-up to that ^ I can see probably 3-0 to us with Tevez getting 2 I'm in Fam 208 so Stretford End tier 1

Everyone thinks that this is going to be an easy win - so do I as it happens! I think that Chris's team is bang on the money. We are certainly a bit short with Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, Park, Saha (shock horror ), and Foster unavailable. This opens up the door for Possebon and Campbell; I reckon that both may figure if we establish a good lead. That $%&£ the footy is back.

Yeah thank god for that, I was starting to go a little bit mental. In the head.
I watched us thump Newcastle at OT last season, I expect another easy game. They say there's no easy easy games in the premier league, there is. Newcastle are just so shit. Will be interesting to see the line up especially if we do bring in Berbatov in quick enough to be considered. Though I doubt he will be.
Failry sure Chris' line up will be the one Fergie picks, or close enough. 3 nil is about right too I reckon.

Is Rooney going to be fit? Well, he'll certainly be lighter after suffering from the shit's post Africa! After a few fags he'll be fine.

We've had a good preseason so hopefully that'll mean the lads are ready to go. I don't see Newcastle being any more of a threat than they were last year so I suspect we'll get a 2-0 win.

Easy win. 2-0 at least. Chris' line up is spot on, unless Neville's gonna get the nod over Brown. It'll be great to have a 'new signing' as one of the subs and maybe make his debut mid way thru the 2nd half.

I'd say Rooney will probably start on the bench for this one. I'd like to see Giggs back on the wing and Campbell get the nod if Wayne doesn't start.
