Not the best start to a season but we didn't have the best start last year. Though with the tough away games we've got coming up now, we could really have done with a win. That said, we played ok, with the players we had missing but some didn't turn up. Scholes and Rooney were pretty poor, Capbell looked lively but sometimes lacked in intelligence I thought and we looked shaky at the back. Every time Newcastle broke, especially that Gutierrez guy, I thought we were going to concede.
Early days though, and we shouldn't be too worried.

It would have been nice to sneak three points yesterday but we were badly depleted by injury, suspension and Olympics so we shouldnt be too negative about it.
What I was disgusted with was the hoards of people leaving before the final whistle. Do these idiots not realise we have more chance of equalising with a full crowd behind the team right until the end. I never condone early leavers and with the team we had on at the end with youngsters like Possebon and Rafael we should be setting an example as fans that we are a club that never gives in right to the death. The team gave their all but the crowd didnt im afraid.
On a personal note I did my usual standing up whenever we got forward and was poked in the back by an Irish twat behind me who told me he was trying to watch the game. Now this winds me up on the rare occassion it has happened before, but coming from a man who arrived late then unbelievably popped out to the megastore midway through the first half I was gobsmacked. I told the fucker I was watching the match too so he should stop fucking touching me and proceded to stand up whenever i felt the need to for the rest of the match.

I'd have much to moan about because this game cost me my bet of the year. So I just get over it and try to think positive:
The penetration game before the out of Giggsy and Carrick was fantastic! We started with six English-boys and 8 Brits over all something unique among the top 20 (?) of the EPL! This Campell-Kid may have a bad first touch yet and maybe he hasn't got the deadly eye, but with his shocking speed his so good for our pressing game! I think it will be a fun-season really!

wasn't that bad of a result considering we have very good players unavailable and my mate, was making fun of Fletcher before the match, so i told him Flecther will score, nearly shat myself when he did

Still kinda gutted, we really missed our injured players, not to mentioned some players that were there but managed not to show up anyhow.
Think the only positive was laughin at Given's surprise as the sprinklers attacked him when he was warming up for the first half.
It's only one match, but we can't afford to make the mistakes we did last season, not with chelsea being seemingly an even stronger threat this year. Well that is unless they fuck it up.

Wasn't the greatest of games, we'll all agree with that but taking into account what we are missing. I thought myself Tevez was the biggest loss of the day but with Giggs and Carrick going off everything went wrong on the day. Yes, again thanks must go to the defence for a solid performance, but we need to win Monday.
