Didn't take long for some to start slagging off Bebatov. These are not the games to judge him on, as he's not played this season before coming to us and in both games he's played, tactically we have defended after taking an early lead and he's had little service and support. Berbatov lazy. Perceptive. Back on to the game itself, the rent boys looked less tactically assured and it was funny to see Terry so rattled in the second half.

We played pretty well for the first 25 mins or so. Berbatov still hasn't settled in. The way we conceded was a shame really , and its bit alarming that we tend to sit back and defend a 1 goal lead.
I agree , our keepers are way to unreliable atm. VDS looks sloppy and I have never been a fan of Kuszczak. The ref was a disgrace , I can't imagine we got bookings for such petty fouls. Although he didn't cost us the game , we shot our self in the foot , sitting back , got penned in and eventually conceded.
Although i think we could have lost this one , so I won't complain about the draw , pretty decent result. Our start hasn't been too bad as people make out to be , we are just 4 points behind the leaders(if we win against Fulham) with tough away games like Liverpool, Chelsea and Pompy out of the way.

sitting back to defend a one goal lead isn't good to watch, chelsea were there for the taking imo, it got to the point where everytime we cleared the ball it kept coming back to us because we had 10 men back defending

a draw is not good enough, three poor performances in a row, in fact poor this season so. i wont blame the ref cos chelsea were going for it, to be honest they dont know how to lose their mentality of never lose has to be appauled, our team selection imo was set up to draw, after we got the goal or after 60 mins it should have been berba off tevez on, berba imo will come good he just needs to settle. i was so dissapointed with the equaliser i really hoped we would win more especially for the players chelsea will go away licking their lips whilst we should go back to the drawing board, we have a good squad but something just aint clicking as of yet.

On reflection, it is unfair to slate Berbatov so soon into his United career; the guy didn't play much pre-season and was launched into 2 away games versus the dippers and chavs. The guy cannot be judged on what are two of the most difficult fixtures on our calendar. Let's give him time to settle.
A draw is a fair result all told, and I bet many would have been satisfied with a point prior to the game. However, we do not look our fluent selves of old presently.
Bolton next. If we don't beat them, then we're fucked!

a draw is better than a defeat but all things considered these guys have had poor performances in the last three games really the last 2 we should be winning, and today we should have been making a positive statement, the message should be its our title and u aint getting it, rather what we did was say hey guys this might just ur year.

Should have gone at them when Carvalho went off, he bails Terry out all the time, without him they've got toss all.

We were shit. Less than than last week, but still shit. Most players first touches seem to have eluded them.

Great point, yes no deco and an injured carvalho, it was a great chance to win but lets be honest we all felt a point was enough. We played as I hoped at tempo and always a threat on the counter, we played with great courage today and chelsea were definately rattled, great point.

Fucking hell will people stop personally abusing our own players, by all means be critical of performances but calling our own players cunts and saying you hate them is childish and divisive.
You lot are having a go at our keepers for chucking points away, did you not see how we scored our goal today? All keepers make mistakes sure Edwin makes a few but come the end of the season he wins us games and thats what makes him an asset. As for PIG he is our reserve keeper or third choice depending on Foster so how amazing do you expect him to be? He is a superb back up keeper and thats it.
Berbatov has just joined after playing next to no football he set up a goal last week and had two decisive touches leading to our goal this week so just lay off him. I know hes not a hard worker, Fergie knows hes not a hard worker and if you lot didnt know that before he came then you obviously dont watch much football. We bought him because he is different to Rooney and Tevez he stays in the top third and the shape of the team stayed a solid four four two without everyone everywhere because of this. This helped alot in nullifying Chelseas strengths.
I agree we should have kept up the pressure when we scored we have been sitting back more and more after scoring first and its a bad habit we need to get out of. Fergie addressed it after the game and im sure it will be sorted. I am pissed off we didnt take all three points when it was in our hands but we are basically four points off the pace after a very bad start. If people want to be drawn in by the press over this 'mini-crisis' fine, but dont call our own players names its not in the nature of the club we all love.

Fucking good point considering the way we've been playing lately and the fact that Chelsea had a real chance to put massive daylight between us and them. Evans was superb, fantastic stuff from the young lad. I also seem to recall a lot of people on this board saying Tevez was shite around this time last year when he missed that chance against Citeh. I'm glad you've learned your lesson re Berbatov.

I hope Rooney will learn from that stupid little mistake. He gave away that stupid freekick that led to Chelshit's undeserved equaliser n got a stupid yellow for that stupid tackle. Otherwise he's brilliant.
It's awkward how all of them, even Neville, gets very emotional that earn the lots of yellows today.

Berbatov has done much more in two games , than Roobie Keane has done of Liverpool , for this while I have no doubt about it , he will be awesome with Rooney / Tevez playing along side him.

My only qualm with Berbatov is, when you pay £30mill for a CENTRE forward, you don't expect him to be out wide.

I am pretty critical but some people on here need to wise up. So much criticism for certain players, we went the stamford bridge and outplayed them for 45 minutes, we played with great courage and conviction in our attacking play, why has nobody mentioned any of that. Evra, rooney and fletcher were really good and we saw in patches what berbatov can do for this team. You have to be patient with new signings. I'm very positive for the rest of the season after that result.
