I really do miss this guy, glad he's doing well at Real Madrid.
I'm tipping him to win the be next year's World Player of the Year because he really is showing that in the same league he's better than Lionel Messi.
VIVA RONALDO!

There are two types of football supporter:
The people who agree Ronaldo is the best player in world football bar none.
The people who wish, and therefore claim that Messi is the best player on earth. Probably because Lionel Messi never played for Manchester United
I'm glad Ronnie is tearing it up for his boyhood club, I do miss him though. We should keep this thread up to date if we can, I know at least some if not many of us appreciate him for what he is - awesome.

I'm happy for him, but seeing him in the Madrid kit still hurts.

I have been saying that Messi is the better player for a while, but when you look at the impact Ronaldo has, its certainly a tough choice. With all there players, Real struggled when Ronaldo was injured, but you don't feel that Barca would struggle without Messi. Its like when people claim Pele is the best player in history instead of Maradona. Argentina were nothing with Maradona, but Brazil could have coped without Pele.

he's a legend and i really do miss him but what is the point in this really? Some people might not watch La Liga every week, so it's good for them to know what Ronnie is up to and how he's doing. We had a Roy Keane thread when he left the club, so why not Ronaldo.

He is the best player in the world, and I do miss him but only because I was watching the double season dvd the other night, it's easy to forget he acted like such a twat last season.
He seems to have some SHIT on his back in that photo...
Oh never mind, it's just his shirt.

I still don't think a lot of us realise just how good he was that double season, fourty two goals. Fuckin' amazing. The best player I've ever seen, I think. Closely followed by Ryan Giggs and Ronaldo.

Fat Ronaldo?
He was amazing, so was Rivaldo though, he's one who isn't really thought of in that bracket, I think he was untouchable for about 3/4 years.

Yeah, fat Ronaldo.
I saw Rivaldo live in the 1998-99 season when we played Barcelona. Didn't really do anything as amazing as I've seen the other three I mentioned do but I agree, at some point in his career he was sensational.
Shame that he'll be remembered for him pretending the ball hit his face against Turkey in 2002.
