I still don't think a lot of us realise just how good he was that double season, fourty two goals. Fuckin' amazing. The best player I've ever seen, I think. Closely followed by Ryan Giggs and Ronaldo. Yeah definately agree with that. That season was absolutely awesome, he was actually untouchable. In 06/07 I think his overall performances were actually better. But the double season, literally, everything he touched was magic.

Arsenal, Porto, etc. Ahhhh, I bloody miss him!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Hearing the way he talks about our club....sigh. 07/08...man were we good or what!

One of the greatest goals I've witnessed.
All I remember is seeing the ball leave his foot, the net ripple, I jumped on my dad's back and my Guinness went everywhere.
Bastard. If I see Ronaldo, he owes me a pint of the black stuff!

Lol i remember that Porto goal. An the biased Paul Merson on sky sports who said Theo Walcotts chip was a better goal in the same week.

Yeah, fat Ronaldo. I saw Rivaldo live in the 1998-99 season when we played Barcelona. Didn't really do anything as amazing as I've seen the other three I mentioned do but I agree, at some point in his career he was sensational. Shame that he'll be remembered for him pretending the ball hit his face against Turkey in 2002. yes he will be remembered for that. Ronaldo is the best. I really miss him. tevez Rooney and ronaldo...what a team...what an attack!!

I can't watch La Ligs cos i don't wanna see him with la camiceta blanca!!!!.
He is without any doubt part of United History!!!!
You did a good thing starting a thread for Ronny.

CR7 has proved he is every bit Fergie's protege, indeed.... Breaking an opponent's nose & branding the referee's decision a disgrace.... Classic... Viva Ronaldo !!

Ronnie and his flying elbows...they don't put up with those little petulant acts in Spain. It's the second or third time he's been sent off for something stupid like that. Both goals in a 2-0 win...2-0 up before the 40min mark...I remember those days...

It was stupid elbowing the guy, his frustration really got the better of him. Think that's his 2nd red card for them. His second goal was pretty good though.

Rivaldo will primarily be remembered for his last minute overhead kick and by united fans for another overhead kick in a 3-3 draw in 98-99. People who can only recall the 2002 world cup only have themselves to blame.
