You were right when you said people don't understand his value in an earlier post. There are a few people on the blog who hold retarded opinions about Ronaldo. I came across one person who refered to him as the 'greasy haired lazy bastard'. Another person who thinks that the 07-08 season was nothing to aspire to and that Ronaldo ruined it. Anyone who thinks Ronaldo had a negative impact on the team wants their head examined.
On one hand I am pleased we are free scoring this year (usually against the easiest of opponents) but on the other I wonder just what the other 9 outfield players were getting up to last season that we only got 68 goals. Questions which will probably never be answered.

i too miss ronaldo. i always keep an eye out for the lad in la liga and have a genuine interest in how he is doing. he was magnificent for those 2 seasons in particular. he deserves a mention every now and then for sure. but dedicating a thread to him and swooning over him in forums such as this where a number of hardcore post is a bit silly.
if we happen to play madrid at any stage of the champions league this lad will hold no sentiment (?) toward us and will cheat, dive, playact and all the rest of it in order to fuck us over and give madrid all the glory. then we will all end up hating him and threads like this one will cease. he isnt a united player anymore and i would suggest he never had any deep lying feelings for us the fans or the club as a whole.
having said that, id give madrid the 80m back and have ronaldo back tomorrow.

I wont say Madrid have become my second team, nothing of the sort but I do like to see how Ronaldo is doing in that regard. We don't only watch United matches.

I want Ronaldo to succeed, but Real to fail. Nice paradox eh? he isnt a united player anymore and i would suggest he never had any deep lying feelings for us the fans or the club as a whole. Ah now, leave off him. He just wants a hug...

Brett, despite his obvious value to the team when he was with us, Ronaldo did have some moments when it could be argued he had a negative impact on the team. Believe me, he had his prima-donna moments when he was with us. He could be a bit of a diva in the Didier Drogba mould, when he wanted to be.

I'm talking about his net impact. Sure he wasn't perfect but what I can't stand is people seeing very minor flaws and those being the only things they mention. You'd expect Liverpool fans to do that but not united fans. He is probably the greatest legend to play for Manchester United in my view and I am very proud of his achievements and what the team won when he wore the red shirt!

Typical Ronaldo. He scores 2 goals for real on sunday, then breaks someones nose and gets sent off. It was still 2-0 and now he's suspended.

Ronaldo is showing now, much more than in Manchester, how much of a selfish prat he really is. I think, given the fee paid and everyone in Madrid stroking his ego, he will show us how much of a selfish, ego-maniac he truly is. Ronaldo is out for self, not Madrid, nor Portugal for that matter.

Best you ever seen? You just start watchin'? What a cunt. 42 goals in a season from the wing and you ask that question. Take your 3 posts and fuck off. And that repulsive signature too.

Everyone is entitled to be told in no uncertain terms how retarded their opinions are especially someone with three posts who has the cheek to ask 'how long you been watchin (football). I'm not going to take a warning from any mod on this forum about abusive language to be honest. Thats not to say I'm going out to break the rules but if someone with three posts, who could be a rival teams fan, can in that timeframe get someone with 400 posts a warning- then its clear the problem isn't with me.

Brett may have a point, altho i dont agree with his method of disagreeing with the other guy, it was for the right reason. To question another poster like that - after just signing up and then not sticking around to answer his own question on who he had seen that was better than Ronaldo is wrong too. Im disappointed Ronaldo left us, but i aint gonna dismiss him like that other fella did. Has he forgotton how Ronaldos goals helped us win back the league and the champions league?
I dont think a warning was right. just tell em both to behave and leave it at that

I'll go about my business and if that business naturally conflicts with the forum rules then I'll have to be on my way. I just don't really believe that in the act of making a criticism of another poster including a signature which portrays a criminal act I'm being told to stick to the rules!
