It's not really about that. It's more about the fact that Real and Barca score 5 or 6 most games, rarely look like conceding, and finish about 25 points ahead of everybody else.

I know what you mean. It's like that season when Larsson got 50 goals in the SPL. That's not really fair, the SPL was a decent league back then. Maybe not has high quality football, but more competitve than La Liga at least. Take your point though. You say that, but wasn't that the same year that despite scoring all those goals, he wasn't awarded the European golden boot because UEFA rightly recognise that the SPL was shite. It's been shite for yonks now. As for the PL v La LIga debate. The key to deciding how uncompetitive they are is to think of it like this - nobody is surprised when a team like Bolton or Sunderland beats a Chelsea/United, the same cannot be said when Real or Barca draw against the likes of Villareal and Espanyol. Sure, it's only been won by four teams, but how many of those leagues have really been as one-sided as La Liga in recent years.

Other than when Barca lost at the start of last season (and that was only by a single goal) when was the last time Spains Blackpool and West Ham held 2 goal leads against Barca/Madrid? Or When did Spains Everton come back from 3-1 down to salvage a draw?
Least in the PL the chances of shock results CAN happen every week - fair enough we came back and beat Blackpool, etc but in Spain, Valencia and Atletico getting even a goal against Barca/Madrid is seen as a shock, let alone them managing to take points.
Dinamo Bucharest still hold the record for most golden boot winners with 4. Hell even the Georgian, Armenian and Welsh leagues managed to win the Golden Boot.

He scored his third Liga hat-trick of the season on Saturday.

Unbelievable.
It's a shame he doesn't play for Barcelona, otherwise there would be no question over who the best in the world was.

That's fine, but kindly sell it somewhere else. This thread is the CRISTIANO RONALDO Watch thread. You're wrong anyway, but this isn't the thread for that debate.

I don't think Messi is better, as a pundit said last night. Barcelona can win without Messi Real Madrid cannot win without Ronaldo I think this shows just how effective he really is.
If he played with Barcelona he woud be hailed the best player in the world, Messi would be second.
I still believe that if he stayed at OT we would of going on to win the champions league again.
