Everyone seems to be in a chase for this lad, which usually means we'll withdraw interest because we don't like to get involved in a bidding war.
i think we can let this little rumor go..

GAY. Offer them Gibson plus cash. . . this. (would it be blasphemous to say ando plus cash?) No. Gotze is worth two Andersons. @ eric - Standard. 'He didn't want to come here anyway.'

But if past rumours and signings, or lack of, have anything to go by then there is no point in having a rumour section of the forum... If we can't have Gotze then the next best thing is to wish we could and have a chat about it. Meh. We're Man United, one of the biggest clubs in world football and if we were honestly interested and the right fee (plus player if need be) was offered, I don't see why we wouldn't be in the running also. I feel we fanny about half the time instead of going gung-ho. Germany have some fantastic young talent. Let's pinch us a few.
Juventus aren't the team they were. I can't see him going there.

@ Bestie I love how we change our opinion on a player when he signs for another club

Great, ain't it? Although, I'm generally alright when that happens, I usually just end up absolutely gutted. like when Nasri ended up going to City, I had just started to get excited over having a quality (however Tranny-like) AM to dovetail with Clevs. Then Nasri mercenaried.
I very much hope I never feel such disappointment for Gotze.

According to the people on sunday Uniteds key scout Martin Ferguson flew out to germany to watch Gotze. He was very impressed as Gotze bagged two against wolfsburg, and it is belived they will watch him again against arsenal on wednesday. This could be a load of shit, but I hope it isn't this kid looks very very good.

We'll probably find out Martin was there to see how Marko Marin was looking.

If we are interested then we have to just go "Rooney transfer" on him, met the asking price early and just get it done. i'd say I've seen him at least 10 times and he is a sensation. if there is any chance then we have to land him.

I assume he was being sarcastic, high quality young players with potential could describe most of our recent transfers. Sarcastic or moronic either way Stew1980 Both club and player stated categorically he wouldn't leave this season, so it will probably be summer. I'd love to see us do a Rooney style 'get it done' style but summer may be a lot more of an open market. Nor our our German ties that strong. Would be great to see, but I think its more of a dream. With the amount of time that Fergie has bided in the CM department, you could hope he would have the cash to get a deal he really wants done though.

Borussia Dortmunds' arse might start to twitch if 30 million was offered, but ultimately I can see Gotze having the final say about where he ends up. I'd be over the fucking moon if it was here.

exactly- its easy to make claims with no proof, like what Jimbonda did.
