How do you not like Mark Williams? Such a down to earth and laid back guy.

Gutted I missed the final for holiday. Love the worlds.
I secretly prefer the Masters though...

He's up there with Federer and Woods in terms of what they have and can do in their respective sports IMO. He's an absolute genius and virtually unbeatable when he's in the mood and feeling good mentally. Only person that can beat him is himself for me.
The fact he's doing it at the age of 43, an age when the likes of Davis and Hendry were well past their best makes it all the more impressive. He's got plenty of years left in him too!

Wonder how much of it is down to the physical condition he's kept himself in. His second book Running is really good for a daft sportsman's autobiography.

I think it definitely has a part to play for Ronnie himself, although, Williams and Higgins are the same age and contested the World Champ Final this year despite not being in great physical shape.
But they don't produce the same level of consistently superb snooker that Ronnie does IMO. If Ronnie plays his best snooker then nobody beats him.

He looks to have won the battle with his demons. Still mind blowing that he didn't play a single tournament all year then came back and won the world championship. Away from football I've been very lucky to have been around when some absolutely fantastic sports people have been plying their trade. I guess modern media makes a lot more sports available to the masses.
