Trump is on fire. That last clearance was fantastic. Nothing Higgins can do, Trump is just smashing him.
Shame he didn't get the maximum. He may well lose this with a session to spare, but a maximum in a world final would have been a pretty great bonus.

Yep. This is the best final I've ever seen in terms of the standard. Higgins would be beating almost anyone else in the world with the level he's played at but Trump has just been on another level.
Hopefully we get a bit of drama tonight. A mini Trump wobble and some good stuff from Higgins just to make it interesting but either way it's been a joy to watch.

He's probably too old to catch Ronnie's records but he can get to the level of the top 10 players for sure. Feel sorry for Higgins, 3 finals lost in a row. He's a great player but Trump has played one of the all-time great finals from what I can see. |

Mafflin's played some great stuff. Great for Trump too, if he pulls himself together (easier said than done) he's guaranteed to face a qualifier in the semis. Meanwhile, Ronnie would have to beat Ding, Williams and Robertson to get to the final.
Not sure Trump will though, he hasn't looked fluent at all. If Ronnie keeps playing well it's surely his, but he's prone to a wobble nowadays and I could see Robertson winding him up in the semis. Might place a bet if I can find some decent odds.
