Trump faltering. Ronnie is the greatest, matching Hendry on 7 worlds would probably kill any last doubt, but he's had a very straightforward run so far. Not even Higgins put him under much pressure, he was making very uncharacteristic mistakes.
The only comparable run I can think of is the last time he won, when the standard was much lower because no one had played due to the pandemic. But even then he had an absolute nerve shredder with Selby and had to win all of the last three frames, he's had nothing like that level of pressure here.

No one can beat him when he plays like this. Absurdly great snooker from Ronnie!

Trump’s head had completely gone by the end of that session. Just trying stupid shots out of desperation.
Meanwhile Ronnie was turning shots down, electing to play safe. Veteran stuff. He’s been more than willing to scrap throughout this tournament, he’s won so many frames he had no right to win.

The worst thing about Ronnie’s performance so far is that this might be over by 8PM, meaning I then have to watch United.

Ronnie looking off now. Wouldn't say Trump's at his best, but Ronnie's given him several chances that he wouldn't have yesterday. Could be a tense, exciting session this evening if Ronnie doesn't win the next couple.

Come on Judd. A few more frames to take us up to 10pm would be nice

Wow. I'm actually emotional about this! I've grown up with Ronnie being the most exciting player. Along with the class of 92 a connection to my youth!!

Fabulous.
World titles was the last record going for him, getting number 7 ends all doubt.
Most centuries, most ranking wins, most triple crowns, fastest 147 (which all never be broken), joint most world titles.
Legend.

Fantastic, what a pleasure to watch him play! Snooker is such a fucking annoying game, I can only make a decent break when I'm bingoed. To see anyone play it that well is always mind boggling to me.

Absolute GOAT. Love seeing how much it means to him as well. Often tries to bottle those types of emotions up.
One of the most gifted sportsmen of all time in their chosen sport IMO.

Some sports, it takes a lot of watching to truly understand how special the players are (rugby springs to mind for me). In snooker, it's clear instantly - even what pros call simple shots often look very difficult to you or me.
