I overbuilt my first to "future proof" for the next 5yrs at least. It was a fun learning experience as I've never done it before and was nervous about doing it. Spent a ton of time researching and watching youtube videos on builds, buddy told me it's like adult legos and I agree!

Hold up, you actually put yours together yourself?!
I'm such a pleb, paid someone for the assembly - the value of the tech and working with stuff like thermal paste totally freaks me out, would almost certainly break a CPU pin haha

I'm such a pleb, paid someone for the assembly - the value of the tech and working with stuff like thermal paste totally freaks me out, would almost certainly break a CPU pin haha Lol yes I did. They fear and anxiety I felt putting my CPU in was palpable thinking one wrong misplacement meant either a new $300 CPU or a new $250 motherboard lol! Thankfully there are 1000's of videos on youtube that show you every little detail which for me helped a lot. It was quite rewarding putting it all together and it working. I have to adjust 1 or 2 connections to the mother board but that was really about it. Corsair and Lian Li have really made it easier with their AIO and fan systems. Eliminating massive amounts of cords and creating Link systems with hubs. I have a total of 10 fans with RGB and 2 cords running to the hub. Where it would normally be 2 cords per rgb fan..... The power supply harness have gotten better too, upgrading to a premium power supply with usually come with individual cords and you can take out the ones you don't need.
