Yeah I dislike the current trend of games mainly catering to multiplayer. Truly great games are ones you can play for hundreds of hours on your own.

When you think of the hours put in to the actual game - crafting the plot, the characters, the scenery, the dialogue, etc and all the nigh on infinite combos of scenarios that can occur depending on how you play the game - then look at all the amazing extra details that went into the game, like the different armour, spells, recipes, weapons, and all the books (and the actual content in them) its amazing.

Is it MW3 where you go through the campaign in like 4 hours?? hahaha....fuck me

you can hardly call COD a fad game, it's a near 10 year old franchise across all platforms. i didn't start playing til COD 4 - that bad boy sold 13mil copies according to it's wikipedia page,

anyway i agree a game like skyrim doesn't need a multiplayer, i just asked cos i thought it would have been cool to invite your mate to bring his character into your world for a mission or two.

the COD games aren't built purely around the single player campaign, the multiplayer is where you get your moneys worth, and you have to give the developers credit for constantly supporting the multiplayer with patch updates and add-ons. black ops was near flawless, i'm hoping a few things will be tweaked on MW3 but it's early yet.

I haven't had any of the patch issues. Still playing it like fucking mad. Absolutely love it still.
