Ah ha, brilliant. Whilst I'm super happy a game is catered for those that don't frequent multiplayer often, I'd of been quietly satisfied had the option to jump in a mates game to run about and help with missions been available.

I have a thing for archery in real life. Unfortunately, although I own two crossbows, I've never used a proper bow and arrow. So I'm a bit enthralled with it in the game and try to take out anything that moves.

Thanks to you lot, I think I'm getting the game as a christmas present. Whats the deal? I'm a fan of final fantasy games. Is Skyrim like that? From the bits I've seen, it looks great.

I guess if you're going to compare games then yeah Final Fantasy is a good comparison. Also Fallout, Red Dead Redemption. Lots of missions, side quests, people and things to interact with, battles etc. Skyrim has a much more personal feel to it though. It is hard to explain but once you're set to roam free and you find yourself hunting for food, collecting junk just to store in your house and changing outfits often you'll know what I mean. Once you're in you're submerged.

Whats the actual overall purpose of the game? From what i've read, hardly anyone has done any missions. Is it sort of a grand theft auto type of game (but with forests and dragons)?

Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel and the future of the Empire hangs in the balance. As Dragonborn, the prophesied hero born with the power of The Voice, you are the only one who can stand amongst them. So essentially the main point is based around X amount of different types of dragons and defeating them. But it is an open world quest so how you go about doing it, who the person you become etc is entirely up to you.

I did. Did you feel the Morgan Freeman vibe? You choose a race; Wood Elf, Redguard, Orc, Nord, Khajiit, Imperial, High Elf, Dark Elf, Breton, Argonian, you get a little description about what they all are. I picked Breton. Then you pick the sex. Skin tone, weight, complexion, dirt, dirt colour, scars, war paint, war paint colour, not type, nose type height and length, Jaw width height and forward, cheekbone height and width, cheek colour, laugh lines, cheek colour lower, nose colour, chin colour, neck colour, forehead colour, eye shape colour height width and depth, eyeliner colour, eye shadow, eye tint, brow type height width and forward, mouth shape height and forward, chin width length and forward, lip colour, hair, facial hair, hair colour. There are a few presets if you can't be bothered. And then you name them. You can only have one character per game but you can have different games on the go which I've avoided.

Well it sounds awesome. Not had a game for a while that I can just sink my teeth into. COD solo games are not long enough and then the only other game I play is FIFA. Not much has stood out, although I'm getting Batman for christmas too. Recently, I've gone back to playing Final fantasy 7 (best game ever), 8 and 10.

Anyone who doesn't own this game is missing out, seriously. Genuinely amazing, and possibly the deepest game ever. I've played it for 80 hours and haven't even done much of it yet.

It is easily one of the best games I've ever played Chris and I'm not into spells and witchcraft. 7 is my favourite Final Fantasy game. My favourite series are the Tomb Raiders and Resident Evils. Stretching back to the originals. Have to include Gears in there too. The COD campaigns are good if somewhat repetitive and short. The missions with Price and Soap being the best. I enjoyed the campaign in Medal of Honor. And have recently completed Arkham City which was wicked. I haven't played any of the football games for a while as I feel robbed with the frequency they bring them out, how little they change and how rubbish the servers can be. I've got my eye on the new Tomb Raider, the HD versions of Resident Evil and I Am Alive all of which I'll be getting in Canadian format.

I was stuck in a burning down cabin yesterday on my way to Riften as 4 trolls gathered outside waiting for me. I eventually ended up just legging it once I created a diversion. I then spent a good two days exploring the City of Riften without actually achieving much.
