The two centre-backs are too slow, they are not commanding and other teams are well aware of it. “The big problem is Solskjaer’s tactical organisation. United’s defensive deficiencies are undervaluing De Gea and Ole just doesn’t convince me. “In the old days Roy Keane and Paul Scholes not only dictated games, but did the dirty work and were the defensive backbone. In Ole’s team Edinson Cavani is the best defender!”

He’s played in front of shite defenders for the vast majority of his United career. His forms quite clearly dipped. Think I got a bit too pissed off with him though this season. Pretty sure I called for him to be sold and all that. Rationally, he’s better than Henderson right now and we’re not going to spend big money on a keeper who would be at the level Dave was two seasons ago.

Don' mind hendo being number 1 he needs to be given the chance tbh, he made a Couple of mistakes last year but for the vast majority he played looked absolutely solid, ddg has been making mistakes now for the last couple of seasons too, still a world class keeper on his day but hopefully with a stronger defence this year, who ever we start at number 1 doesn't concern me too much.

Not sure if mentioned but it was interesting that Henderson said the mental exhaustion of doing everything possible to be number one took it's toll on him last season. I mean we cannot go into this season with both keepers, one has to go and the other given every chance to succeed. If not for Dave's wages he would have been sold by now.

Apparently Deano has pulled out of a training camp because of post-COVID fatigue. So Dave could be starting the season as our #1.

Mad to think he was so good for so long, and then we all thought Henderson was better. What a man.

The timing for de Gea to leave feels right but the disgusting way it’s been handled is another shameful moment for the club.
Incredible goalkeeper and one of, if not the best shot-stopper I’ve ever seen. For long periods our best, most consistent player post-Fergie.
Absolutely gutted he doesn’t get a deserved, heartfelt goodbye.
Thankyou legend!

As said by others the timing is right but the way everything has been handled is nothing short of disgraceful. Not gonna lie I'm genuinely gutted to see him leave, feels a bit surreal. All the best Dave.
