He's quite clearly as good as Neuer at this current moment. I know he was immense when we won the league but in a bizarre way last season could be the making of him as he got more work than in the previous 2 combined.

I admire his flexibility. He spreads himself so well, giving very little room to pass him. I can easily remember 5-6 goal saves, that were purely on the basis of his flexibility.

Perhaps the silver lining of the Dark cloud. I am still trying to get the gif of his reaction when we scored the other end after he had just saved one. Think it was for the Rooney's goal or maybe RvP's. That didn't look to me as a guy who was waiting to board a flight to Madrid. He is OURS. Best Christmas gift/news that the club can give to the fans is his contract signing |

Even if he plays 50 games a season for the next 15 years at United (which would be unreal when you think of the demands on his body that would project, especially with internationals thrown in too) taking him up to 39 years old, he'd be on about 925 appearances, still a good way behind Giggs 963. And that's pretty much hoping that De Gea never has any kind of serious injury in his entire career. Be interesting to see if he could, but when you look at the numbers, Giggs' are mind boggling really. |

Thinking about it, his extraordinary shot stopping and reflexes should come as no surprise. DDG trained with and against the likes of Falcao, Aguero and Forlan after all..
