Get rid, if the Sun is correct (pardon the laughing) then we should sell while he has a contract, and the longer the contract the more we can demand. I'd use him in a swap deal for a certain CB at Atletico just to get a class young CB and fuck Real off.

How anyone can want to go to Madrid after seeing Bale's debut season last year when they absolutely loved him, a few bad games and they boo him, wave their little handkerchiefs at him, attack his car when leaving the ground leaves me genuinely baffled. Is it an English thing that we don't understand the attraction to being treated like that?
Will be the shock of his life going into that atmosphere after going from the Stretford End who clap the team off after every loss, no matter how dross it got last season.

If The Sun is correct he might change his mind and stay or it at least increases his price and give us time to find a replacement. I hope the first one happens though

It's probably because Madrid is the childhood dream of some players, especially latin americans and spanish ones. Real fans want to win everything, like a spoiled child and when they dont a lot act like you described. I am not sure if Dave would care much about it, his girlfriend is a star in Spain, Madrid is his hometown and he left like this from Atlético

I would look at players from Northern Europe and Scandinavia if possible as Southern European and South American players see the big two Spanish sides as the holy grail to play football and with climate, language and all that it's easier for the players family's to settle. Di Maria is a fine example of this and he is here for his last mega contract and would he would have been at PSG but for FFP as for De Gea he will follow the same path as ronaldo NQAT. Can't blame him though as its his home city and all his friends and family are thereHome city yes, but was an atletico madrid player, his parents live in Manchester and have said many times they and he are happy, he has plenty of spanish mates in Manchester too... his Girlfriend is the problem Girlfriends are always a problem.

Speaking on the Sunday Supplement, Ladyman backed up this notion, claiming United were addressing both the acquisition of Bale, and keeping hold of De Gea, as separate issues.
“Bale and De Gea are two separate subjects as far as Manchester United are concerned and that’s the way they would like to keep it,” he said.
“They are desperate to make sure De Gea doesn’t become part of a Bale move, they are not interest in offering the goalkeeper in part exchange for Bale.
“With De Gea, they obviously want to keep him; they are offering him a lot of money. They also understand why he might want to leave; they are not stupid at Manchester United.
“What is frustrating United at the moment is that De Gea has given them absolutely no indication about what he might want to do.
“With Bale it’s slightly less complicated,” Ladyman added. “United would like to sign him but they don’t know if Bale will be the marquee signing Real decide to sell this summer.
“We all know Madrid sell a big-name player every summer. If it is Bale, United will be involved.
“What people are saying privately is that the money is there not only for Bale, but for a whole lot of players as well.
“That’s good news for Van Gaal because he wouldn’t want to go into the summer choosing between transfer targets.
“United are saying to him ‘buy your players, do what you want to do and if other players become available we’ll buy them as well’.”
“They haven’t got a clue because he clearly hasn’t made his mind up. There comes a time, though, when there has to be a date when they say ‘David we need this decision now’.”

08/05/2015 16:49, Report by Adam Marshall De Gea admits frustration as Reds chase goals David De Gea has admitted his frustration that Manchester United have been out of luck in the past three games.
The Reds were beaten by Chelsea, Everton and West Brom and failed to score on each occasion but the Spain international is hoping things are put right in Saturday's clash at Crystal Palace and a seven-point lead can be opened up again over fifth-placed Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers' side are not in action until Sunday afternoon, when tackling champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Palace were beaten 1-0 at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture in November and United have only ever conceded one Barclays Premier League goal away to Palace – Gareth Southgate's equaliser in the 1-1 draw back in the 1994/1995 season. Hence, De Gea will be hoping for a clean sheet, even if it is at the other end where the team has struggled since putting four past Manchester City in the derby.
"It's a difficult moment with three losses," conceded De Gea to MUTV. "We need to keep going, look forward, try to play better and, of course, try to win the games.
"I think we played quite well against Chelsea and West Bromwich but we have to create more chances and score more goals. With no goals in these games, I think that it's important we score more.
"I think it was an unlucky game [against West Brom] as we played much better than them. But that's football – they scored what I feel was a lucky goal and they defended all the time. It was a straight shot for me [by Chris Brunt from a free-kick] but it deflected to the other corner [off Jonas Olsson]. "There was frustration for me and for the team. We created many chances and we missed a penalty. Maybe we could have won this game 5-1."
De Gea expects Alan Pardew's side will be awkward opponents again on Saturday and pose a threat on the break with Yannick Bolasie and ex-Red Wilfried Zaha particularly dangerous on the flanks.
"I think they will maybe be similar to West Brom," he stated. "I feel they are going to try to defend. They know we want to keep the ball and create chances. I think they have good wingers, who are quick and good on the counter-attack."
United's no.1 is looking to extend his run of having played in every single game this season, not missing a minute under Louis van Gaal since the Dutchman took charge.

Madrid born and raised man goes home to Madrid for a few days after being given a little time off work shock! Not saying he's not going to be signing for Real because he probably will, but Christ, what's he supposed to do when given some time off? Go home for a few days to catch up with friends and family or sit in Manchester wondering when it might stop raining? Tomorrow's headline - Carrick to sign for Newcastle after being seen leaving his mam's house, in NEWCASTLE!
