Think we can get Benteke for a fair price. Also I think we need a striker with some pace that can run at a cb or two not just a poacher. Last two seasons have been deplorable for a poacher type striker. De Gea can go already. This game is just to inflate his ego. Say your leaving already each day you drag it out the less we think of you.Not possible, Maximum is reached

How many league titles have Real Madrid won in the last 10 years? How many CL finals have they been in? In the last 10 years we have won 5 titles and appeared in 3 CL Finals .. Real Madrid have won 3 titles and appeared in "one" CL Final
Despite the brilliance of Ronaldo he has won one title and appeared in one CL final.
They are the biggest spending club in the world , but they are nowhere near us in global support and success in the last 10 years. (All apart from the Moyes debacle of course)

Absolutely fuming over this DDG business. I'm with those that say fuck it, keep him for a year. We need to throw the gauntlet down. Pains me to say this but we've been bullied by Madrid time and time again. Look at their actual record in La Liga or CL over the last decade. They're not bigger or better than us.
Let him put a shift in for a year and see if those hanky waving bastards wait for him. If he sulks, let him train with the reserves and see how that helps his Spanish #1 aspirations. Save the money we'd spend on a replacement and invest this year's transfer funds in CB, DM and FW options.
Gross over generalisation but lean towards French/German/Belgian players who might be somewhat less inclined to run like dogs to Madrid or Barca should they ever come calling. Howedes, Kondogbia, Schneiderlin, Reus, De Bruyne, etc.
Seriously, fuck Madrid. Sorry, rant over.

I don't think we have the option in all seriousness. He probably wouldn't play/ disrupt the morale. He clearly wants to move he is just being a massive coward.

There is an argument regarding non Spanish players, but when you look at Mata and Herreras attitude both make the most of being in England and emersing in the culture and both have great attitudes Your Belgian argument is a good one though and timely as the player we should be going all out for is Kevin De Bruyne. He is the future world player and wants a move to the EPL. We should be doing a Madrid on him

£25m is not a good fee for a world class GK and he is only 24 We bought him for £17 mil. De Gea could have signed and contract and left to Madrid. I am officially a hater of Real Madrid from now on, bar CR7. You pay big money for flops and do absolute bargain for a top GK. Hope FSW runs the team into the ground.

'Miranda thought he was joining United 12 months ago and even reportedly said his goodbyes to Atletico team-mates after the Champions League defeat to Real.' Interesting. . Streight swap for ddg then he can have his move to Madrid

'Spain's ABC said this morning that Man United had asked for €35m for De Gea but Real Madrid didn't want to pay more than €25m.' THAT'S WHAT WE PAID FOR THE CUNT WHEN HE WAS 20!!!!!! Honestly, keep him for a year and let him go for free. Madrid can fuck off. When did we start refering to our players as cunts? If he is such a pivotal player for the club, i would be more inclined to ask how and why we let him get to the last year of his contract without looking to get it renewed. This should have been done two years ago so, if he stalled all year, we still have two years to negotiate with. The only people to blame for him possibly leaving on a shoe string is senior cluib management.

Before people get carried away It's only United announcing Captain Morgan as another club sponsor. Better than our current captain.

We started negotiations last year but he said he wanted to wait to see if we got cl football, so realy it all comes down to moyes for his shite season. If we finished in top 4 last year I don't think it would have got to this stage

But you know deep down its a stepping stone and you took the opportunity to advance your career. Don't forget... It's a job. We've all taken positions knowing you wont finish your career there. We have given him all the opportunities to succeed, win trophies, be paid. He wants to be in Spain. What was he supposed to say when he got signed? I'm happy to be at MU I think this is an excellent opportunity to increase the odds of playing for Barca or Real in the future.

Agree though with the name calling...he has let us down badly with this move but no need for the names...
