Just wondered if any of you guys here are members of the gym at all or thinking of joining one?
I've been going to Gyms for quite a while now, currently a member of my local David Lloyd, I wouldn't say I am a hardcore goer and definitely not one of these guys that hunts in packs and sits around the free weights!!
Anyway just wondered what your personal opinions were of the Gym!
Discuss!

I tend to veer away from gyms, due to the fact that it gives me douche chill factor!
Gonna start going with my brother though, need to lose some weight as my knee is killing me and I'm fed up of looking and feeling like shit.

Once I'm off these sticks, on the mend and through physio I've been advised to go to back builders and strengthen it up again. I've never liked the thought of being surrounded by a bunch of guys kissing and flexing their muscles but whilst I'm there I might as well take advantage of the 12 week pass and smash the cardiovascular stuff, especially swimming.

I generally go to the gym during the summer months, I jog on the roads from September to May then hit the gym to build up in the summer. A strange tradition I know but it helps me come the football season i'm both fit and strong.

I go to the gym although I haven't been since I got back off holiday. Since then, i've just done circuit training. I really need to get back to the actual gym, but I just haven't got the energy at the moment

I use to love January's in the gym, you'd get a herd of males and females in ready to kick start there new years resolutions of loosing weight and getting fit. Its last for about a month and then they slowly fade away and convince themselves that next year will be different.

Haha yeah thhis is so true, already you can spot the 'All the gear and no idea' newbies. I was at the gym last night and some young kid was on a cross trainer literally hammering it for about 30 seconds then got off (with a limp) and went to stretch out! I was quietly laughing to myself! I'd like to put on some tone, build up quite a bit, I need to start taking the 2 shakes a day to really make this any type of reality though I think.

I've been thinking of joining a gym for a while. It'll probably be in a few weeks so I don't look like a new-year guy.

I just mine transferred home from Newcastle, so I get to look like a Resolution tit.
Now that it's finally sorted, of course, I have a head cold which means I can't breathe through my nose and I can't blasting go. Hoping it clears up for the weekend, so I can get into a 6:30 before Institute Lectures routine.

Joined my local over a year back and the novelty of it soon wore off, Gonna start getting back into the swing of things to knock off the old festive belly. My problem is sticking to it and eating around exersize aswell, never seen to know whats right to eat and whats not plus if i stick to the same food i get bored and thats when i fail lol.
Any ideas of where I could get any info on that sort of stuff?. Googled a bit but just comes up with stuff that I really dont have a clue about and start getting all confused.

Going for the first time tonight. Kinda dreading it. Just gonna hit the rowing machine and the bikes. Some low impact cardio to start me off and I can go at my own pace. I hope.
