I have no intention of entertaining these supliments, i just think their a con plus their not heading in the direction i am so best avoid. Did 1 1/2 hour in the gym tonight on the bik, rowing machine and treadmill, Only problem with the Tread is running is a bitch as it kills my knee so try to avoid that for now. Just concentrating on the cycling and rowing for now, Gonna try and introduce swimming into it next week aswell now to mix it up a little.
Its not rocket science no, but when youre not exactly in the know how then asking for advice isnt a bad thing. Id much rather ask for it that try to think that I know everything and head down the wrong path and have nothing to show for the effort im putting in.

Never been in a gym in years, you wanna lose weight of get fit then try cycling if running would be to hard on your limbs. Its not rocket science, eat 3 meals a day, no snacking and train3 or 4 times a week. i've heard it's best to eat small and often, 6 times a day if u wanna lose weight.

Been smashing the gym this year.
Bench PB: 70kg Squat PB: 100kg Deadlift PB: 90kg (Only just started incorporating Deadlifts in the last 6 months)
Did my first Crossfit sesh the other week too, did one of the Hero WoDs. Fuck me that was tough.
For the warm-up: 500m Row 10 Ring Rows x3 10 second tuck hang x3 Bearcrawl the width of the box x3
Actual WoD: 20 Pull-ups (I did ring rows again, as I can't do a pull-up. That's a 2015 target) 20 K2B (Can't do these either, so did 30 weighted sit-ups) 40 Burpees 800m run
All x3. FML I was sore for a week after that.
For something more tangible:
I've lost 4 inches off my waist Lost 4 stone in weight

Yeah, the weight loss is cumulative over the 2 years I've been doing the gym. I was scared of Deadlifts as I threw my back out doing them once, but got a PT and a gym regular to spot me on my form on it for a few weeks, with no plates, then just kept adding weights as and when I was comfortable with my formm at each weight. I'm trying to get to 100kg by end of Jan as been on 90kg since mid November.

Have you tried a small break from them then coming back at say 10kg less and working up?

If you want to follow a great workout routine, do this www.bodybuilding.com/fun/shortcut-to-size.htmlIt's definitely the best workout I've done. I've lost body fat, but gained weight, like it says you should on the introduction. 2nd time in a year I've done it and it works great. Combined with taking creatine and protein shakes while also eating cleaner, you get greater success. Highly recommended.

My problem is I was huge in the 80s because of work (shifting 4000 bricks a day) and a load of weight training then I fucked my back for the 1st time (lifting 4 breeze blocks ) My only chance of losing weight is dieting I did try swimming but got sick of everyone looking at me like I was a nonce because there was no one else but kids in the pool

The only sure way to lose weight is a sufficient caloric deficit, it's not rocket science.
Cumulative at about 3500 calories/week or, alternatively, 500 cal a day cut off from your base recommended intake.
Combine it with cardio and a smaller deficit, a larger deficit, or simply the deficit on its own.
Rejoined the gym a month ago to get fit/into good shape again - pretty content with the cardio stuff & rowing etc as opposed to massive bulk, more-so because of the activities I enjoy doing, whch require more endurance fitness than brute strength.

500 cal a day is plenty for most, they generally say something like 15-20, 30% off max, anything more becomes damaging to your everyday capabilities.
I'm on about 550 cal just to tone but I'm sure with weights this varies.
Moved into a new place and the one housemate of mine is an absolute fanatic so it really helps with dietary decisions.
We have a steamer now, which is fantastic for preparing pretty much anything from chicken breasts to veggies, whilst retaining all the nutrients!

Signed up to Spartan Sprint at Heaton Park in July. I'm gonna die haha!
Although, been doing PT sessions once a week, just to add some variety into my training, but it's working. I feel fitter, I'm lifting slightly heavier and recovering a lot quicker.
