Ashley Young given six-month driving banManchester United and England footballer Ashley Young has been banned from driving for six months. The 28-year-old was handed four penalty points after he admitted speeding at 71mph on a 50mph section of the M6 Toll in Warwickshire in March last year. Warwick Magistrates Court heard he already had nine points on his licence for an earlier speeding conviction. Young's solicitor argued the road had been "quiet" at the time of his latest offence. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I thought he was banned from diving. Turns out to be driving.

Ach lads, he's only having a laugh in the car. I do that all the time, summat reet dodgy to daft music and then laugh at meself. Gets me through traffic without murdering anyone.

Pretty sure using a mobile device whilst driving is a criminal offence. If only we had a lawyer among us to confirm, Bestie... It is indeed, although he could be using the handsfree (front camera, hence bad quality). I think it's funny actually. Purely because, as I said, it's the sort of dumb thing I would do to amuse myself while driving. |

That you can stare into a camera on a phone, rather than concentrate on the road, providing both hands are on the wheel? If so that annoys me just as much as the fact that it is apparently illegal to eat an apple whilst driving but totally legal to smoke a cigarette whilst driving. |

As long as you have your phone in a handsfree setup, then you could actually video call without breaking the law. |
