This news has been doing the rounds for a while now. Glad to see it nearing completion if this is true. He looks physically capable and a decent finisher to boot!

Yeah I'm not aware of him either to be honest. Can't really lose for that price though. I'd imagine he'll be off out on loan in any case.

I'll fill in the blanks, Angelo Henriquez is a young chilean striker we supposedly arranged a deal for after a good showing at the u-17 international tournament in Brazil last year. If its true we could sign him for ~£3.5mill at any point up till 2014. He's been in the Universidad first team this season as has had a good scoring record.
The way the deal was done I assume we wanted to leave him over there for a while, but its possible we've accelerated it because of Keanes injury. I guess work permit could be a problem, hence our deal that was over a longer term. Hopefully no issues, i've only heard good things about him.

Good stuff, for the fee reported this could be a future bargain, he's on 12 goals and 1 assist in 19 matches this season.
Good investment at the least.

Hopefully this isn't the same vid. This guy is lethal. I remember when we supposedly struck the deal after the U-17s and he looked great. He's now scoring goals in the South American version of the champions league:

Looks like the same vid but what the hey...
He looks strong on the ball....reminds me of Sparky in that respect....doesn't go down easily and looks a real steal for£3m or so....
