Nee bother. To be honest, the "Do you even watch football" should be read like "Dude do you even lift?" because that popped into my head and made me laugh.
Completely take your point.

It would great to get him, not that it matters now but Fergie was very keen on him. Was a silly move for him going to Real, though he did seem to pick up form towards the end of the season. Quality player and knows the league well. This is probably a bit silly but prefer him to Fabregas. Seems unlikely Madrid will sell but their new manager may have his own ideas.

I’m with you there, or at least close to you. Don’t know whether I prefer him to Fabregas but certainly don’t see him as a step down should the Fab deal not come off. Either of those two would make my summer.

That really doesn't make sense to me.

I think we will persist with Fabregas but if that doesn't happen Modric will be the main target, which I'd be more than happy with.

Could Carlo be thinking about reviving Kaka?! Modric might be surplus then ...

I haven't read to much into this Modric thread, but is he willing to leave? Does Carlo want rid? Nothing concrete but they have just signed two very expensive midfielders so he may be pushed further down the pecking order. Though Alonso may be the one to lose out. His lack of mobility was badly exposed in the champions league last season.

If they want to get bale - difficult as it may be given he is the face for Spurs now -they need to sell players , Modric could be the one to go , Alonso i have a feeling will play till next year and then move to follow Mou

Guess we could try for Modric it's not as if he's shite good signing maybe around the 20-25m mark?

To be fair, they've already spent what, £70m on two players? If they get Bale, they'll be a serious fire sale at Real. Modric wasn't exactly first choice last year, likely be less so now. Although Carlo might have different ideas from Jose. Though as Carrick above says, I wouldn't mind Khedira also.

How some still underrate Modric is beyond me, regardless of it being a compilation video.
He'd do a job for us for years to come, like some have alluded to, he plays deeper than Kagawa.
