I think tatty's logic is that if he's as vague as possible nobody can say for sure that he got it wrong.

Never have I seen Tatty give us ground breaking news that's turned out true, in fact he's often given me false hope.

www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-bid-for-lucas-and-want-1139143Manchester United have made a £20million-plus bid for Brazilian wonder boy Lucas Moura - and want him signed before he plays in the Olympics. United are now in official negotiations for the Samba starlet who is their top target for the new season, as Mirror Sport revealed, and the opening offer could rise in the coming days. Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has given the go-ahead to spend a chunk of his budget on the Sao Paulo sensation who would walk into his side even at the age of 19. And the Glazers will also finance the move because of Lucas's age and potential 'sell-on value' - with the Americans under pressure to deliver a big name after a trophyless season. Fergie has been after Lucas for weeks but the attempt to land him has now got serious, with Inter Milan also in the hunt - and the youngster admitting he could possibly move. United do not want Lucas to light up the Olympics this month and push his value higher again. Sao Paulo scent a killing and are looking for a jackpot deal. The Brazilians claimed to have had a £32million bid from Chelsea last season and would like that figure. United are convinced they currently have the best offer on the table. Lucas has opened the door to a switch and said: "I cannot guarantee that I will stay until the end of my contract. Much has changed and the situation is not up to me anymore. "I don't have a crazy desire to leave but when the time comes I will speak with my family and decide what is best for my future. "I'm very calm and down to earth about it. My job is to play football so that these clubs continue to be interested."
*sigh* My head knows the many many reasons why this is rubbish, but my heart can't help get all a flutter at the thought of Ronaldo all over again. #muppet

It's crazy how they've managed to utilize the same quotes from Moura and put it into three or four different connotations - THAT's journalism; reading in-between the lines, lines that aren't there in the first place.

I refered to it last week, if we're signing a midfielder he'll more than likely be in his early 20's or around that age. We look for re-sale value of the player to a certain degree.
We've done it already bringing in Kagawa and Powell as they fit the bill/ age bracket and so does Moura.
I wouldn't rule Moura out.

He isn't the type of midfielder we need though.

He isn't the type of midfielder we need though. True, but knowing United we'll likely bring in a winger.

He isn't the type of midfielder we need though. I'm not so sure. He looks more of a winger in those vids but then that's what Ronaldo was ostensibly, but if you have the talent that he has (and he does, let's put an end to this YouTube can make anyone look good bullshit) then you can mould yourself onto something else. he is approximately 1000% more exciting than Ashley Young, and thats what we should be all about.

Personally speaking if it came down to a choice between him and Moutinho, I'd definitely go for him. Don't care what we need tbh. You don't get a chance to sign a talent like this too often. We would be crazy to pass up the opportunity!

I suppose what I mean is, would you take him over a more traditional midfielder, ie the type we are crying out for? He looks fantastic, but what happens if say Carrick goes down with a serious injury? Do we try to win every game 5-4?
Actually that doesn't sound too bad!
