where did you hear that? i thought i heard/read bale say no more batman for him Sorry. I think I may have been mistaken. Having looked around, it appears that I may have confused his endorsement of a Batman reboot with him being willing to do more movies. Still, I reckon someone could just continue on from Nolan's movies. I think I'd rather someone do that than start again like the Spiderman movies. And if someone continues where Nolan left off, there's more chance of it being dark rather than a cartoony comic book version. I don't want another Batman & Robin fiasco.

Burton's two movies were outstanding. i remember the hype around the first one but it totally delivered. The 2nd one really good as well. Loved De Vito's penguin.

Saw the film on tuesday past and it wasn't as good as the dark knight and the ending was overrated, i saw that coming. You have to give nolan credit after the mess the last guy made. He got closer to the origins of the batman than any of the other films. Still think promethus is the best film i've seen this year, this is a close second.

I think I may be the only one on the planet who thought it was a load of shit. How I feel about this film is akin to the feeling my arse felt in the cinema seat for 3 hours.
The best way I can sum it up was a ridiculous voice contest between Bane and Batman. Ridiculous. No doubt it looked spectacular and the only reason I stayed interested was Anne Hathaway's leather clad behind on that tron motorbike. To me it just shows how good Heath Ledger's performance was in the second that his eery menace was lacking in this one. Joseph-Gordon Levitt was class though.
But for IMDB to slot it straight in as their 10th best film ever on their top 250 is ridiculous.

Pulp Fiction for me
Not sure about Fight club at 12 and Inception at 15. Good films though.

Shawshank as #1 = list cannot be criticised. yeah you can't argue with that even if it's not your personal favourite

It's voted by the users, so you know a bunch of enthusiatic young kids have watched the film, thought it was the greatest thing ever then went home and voted.
It should go down over time.

Actually, if you look, it's got a great score, but comparatively few people have voted on it.
Having said that, the Dark Knight is an anomaly, as it has the second highest number of votes on the list, behind Shawshank.
I can only put it down to the voting demographic.

To be fair The Dark Knight is one of my favourite films ever personally. Top 10 certainly maybe top 5.

The problem was that Dark Knight fans weren't happy enough to just score "their" movie at 100%. They had to vote The Godfather at 1% to knock it off top spot, which it used to occupy before they got on it's case. Shawshank is no 1 there now by default due to that (superb movie that it is tho) Which is pathetic in fairness. And pointless as everyone knows that the Godfather Part 2 is THE finest film ever made.......
