Yesterdays set up was decent, but would be better off with one of our wingers rather than Welbeck. _____________________x x____________x_________________x_____________x ___________________Carrick ________Kagawa_______________Cleverley _____Valencia_______________Rooney ________________ van Persie looks good to me. still, i like welbeck. difficult to leave him out. needs to keep playing and proving. same with hernandez. concerned that he's not getting enough football.

Sure Hernandez and Welbeck could do with time bit I mean we should be trying to find out our best line up rather than rotating. Maybe I'm wrong about Danny and he could be in there, but what I mean is I'd prefer one natural winger in the line up. Danny has had the tendency to go wander to much when playing out wide, maybe Newcastle was different I only caught a bit and the highlights. Beyond that though, games come thick and fast so plenty of time to play people. Well, whens there's not a international break anyway.

Chicharito should really just be kept being brought on around the 65th or 70th mark. He gives so much impact and RvP could rest if we're ahead and winning comfortably (or uncomfortably). This would allow RvP enough rest time to start in almost every game.
To be honest, I prefer to see Nani instead of Valencia in this tactic, but I'm very happy to see Valencia and Welbeck rotate. Nani and Welbeck can rotate with Rooney if need be, don't want to over-exhaust Rooney.
Also prefer to see Fletcher starting ahead of Carrick (especially if Nani or Giggs play) - personal opinion.

Coleen has said on twitter that she is expecting again.
Congratulations Wayne!!! Think him having kids has really matured him.

Indeed. He should be chuffed to bits about the double joy.
I do think, however, Hart should be the captain of England though (not that it will matter to some on this forum).

Na, not for me. Partly because he's a City player, but also because I just don't like keeper's being captain. How are you supposed to rally the players and gee them up if you're 80 yards from them?
And yes I know Schmeichel captained us sometimes, including the champions league final, but in my own very humble opinion I thought that should have been Stam and stick to that.

Not sure this dropping deep has worked at all for him this season. He used to drop deep only when he had no supply & steamroll the ball up the pitch. Now he fucks around like he's Pirlo or Scholes. Next season get up there with Van Persie & get a couple of red cards. Get fired up.

any of you match goers read the program notes from yesterday? Fergie talking about moving big players on? was this a lil kick up the backside for waz? was listeneing to neil custis from the sun shitepaper on talksport last night. they touched on his thoughts on the sunday suppo this morning and all. he reckons fergie is tired of rooney's smoking and drinking and his fat arse, and that Rooney's career is at a cross roads. yeah i know we've heard it all before. all i'll say is rooneys reaction is key here. injury aside, if he reacts as we'd hope to the prospect of ACTUALLY BEING IN COMPETITION for a place for probably the first time in his life then his focus and output could take on new dimensions. that would really be something. being 'droppable' could be the best thing that could have happened for him. thoughts? I love that opening post, oh I wish SAF was still with us today when this thread was created.
