Here's a solution: FIFA mandated salary cap. Maximum of £150, 000 per player. That's an annual salary of £7.8 million a year.
Do people reckon players could live on that?

Nope, I mean, I'm not even sure I'd be able to live on that!?
Seriously though, after tax that might only amount to 75-80K?

Including and especially the ones before this thing with Madrid/being sad happened.

lol u crafty old
honestly. if you are in ronaldos positition the last thing you do is release a statement saying 'my fellow madridstas, i am sad.' what kind of fucking prima donna shit is that.
if he felt he had to address the rumours of his 'sadness' one or two games into the season he should have just said 'no problem, i'm happy here and we're gonna win lots of pots'.

Well, people were asking questions about the non-celebration. He said he's sad, for professional reasons that he is keeping private, but has also said it won't affect his desire to win trophies. (Sorta like that thing you wanted him to say without the lying.)
Surely the prima donna thing would have been to make a song and dance about whatever this professional thing is in public, detailing exactly why he is unhappy and what Real Madrid should be doing to fix it. Maybe even saying he doesn't care about Real's success/failure until it is sorted out?

no, the prima donna thing is to say 'fellow madristas. I AM SAD'
he could have answred questions about his relatively subdued celebrations a dozen other ways other than saying 'I AM SAD!'
he's in a lofty position as a player and a person and most professionals would be embarrassed to make these comments.

But, a prima donna is someone who comes out and makes big demands and is generally hard to work with in a team. Ronaldo has done the exact opposite of that.
He's made no public outburst of demands, and he's pledged to perform to his maximum. Hence, not prima donna at all.

I want the guy back at Ot but its not going to happen and to be fair there is another side to it, Bless him, his £200k+ wage, multi million pound sponsors, Exotic Cars, Stunning birds at his feet, swanky houses (if you want to call them houses). He has everything he could ever dream of, he doesn't know the meaning of the term "sad". Other than its sad to trying and pull a publicity stunt just because hes in Messi's shadows. But hes sad. awww fucking wherrrrrr. Also to be fair Bestie the way in which you call Giggsy all the time you cant really comment on how others talk about players .

Cheated on his wife, with his brother's significant other. Tarnished a legacy of reputation. Hangs on in there, like a millstone monument to our squad's current failings, and tarnishing a legacy of brilliance on the football pitch. I have valid reasons.

what Giggs does in his personal life away from the club is no-ones business but his, also you can argue he's tarnishing his legacy, others [including me] will argue he's only adding to the legend. he misses less training sessions now than he did in his early-mid 20's and he can still come off the bench and change a game.

What ever the argument about Ronnie's character and status and his whining s be , he for one will guarantee the "fear Factor" everyone here is harping out, our goal threat and our counter attack threat increases in geometric progression or exponentially ( whichever is higher), plus we actually will have someone who can score from FK's, a decent target to hit in corners and someone who can provide some insane amount of Goals and Assists. Now as with RvP, just imagine if this was even remotely possibly and the chance was that he could play for us or for our cunts- would you still rather say -- Nah a guy's attitude stinks .
No shots at anybody. and no i don't want the transfer Realist back and no i wouldn't trade Pea or Tony V.

The man's a genius. He can say what he wants. I saw City fans on Twitter saying they wouldn't want him there. I don't give a fuck who you are, you don't turn down 40 odd goals a season. Especially not just because their attitude may or may not stink. When a player is that good, you just accept the stuff that comes with it. Genius.
As for Giggs, I do think he's tarnished himself to a degree. There's a generation of kids who'll only know him as the old man of football. I couldn't give a fuck about what he did with his brother's wife, but I'm with Bestie on the rest of it.
