I want the guy back at Ot but its not going to happen and to be fair there is another side to it, Bless him, his £200k+ wage, multi million pound sponsors, Exotic Cars, Stunning birds at his feet, swanky houses (if you want to call them houses). He has everything he could ever dream of, he doesn't know the meaning of the term "sad". Other than its sad to trying and pull a publicity stunt just because hes in Messi's shadows. But hes sad. awww fucking wherrrrrr. Also to be fair Bestie the way in which you call Giggsy all the time you cant really comment on how others talk about players . Cheated on his wife, with his brother's significant other. Tarnished a legacy of reputation. Hangs on in there, like a millstone monument to our squad's current failings, and tarnishing a legacy of brilliance on the football pitch. I have valid reasons. Granted but who cares about a footballers personal life? As long as they perform in a united shirt I couldn't care less. I know your reasons and fair enuff your entitled to them. But as a footballer hes done nothing but bring glory and help make this club what it is. anyhoo don't want to make a song and dance of it. Just think that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Not every1 will agree with it but thats the great thing about opinions.

Fuck his reasons for being sad, personal or professional, I'd have him back here in a heartbeat.
Did anyone else get the feeling when he left he was just desperate to get the whole Bernabeu initiation, and a couple of seasons in their shirt out of his system? I think he misses the adulation he got here. He was part of the family at United, at Madrid he is just part of the act.

How can someone be sad when you have everything at your feet. More to the point why come out and say your sad then say hell be fine. Why not just keep quite. Simply because hes taking Messi's back seat on the pitch so has to take over in the media spot light. Its like people say on these social sites "im so pissed off right now", oh why? "oh I cant say". Whats the point in even opening his mouth in the first place. Id take him back in a heartbeat but doesn't mean I have to lick his arse along the way. Hes wrong doing what hes done. Hes put himself and his club in a awkward situation.

Personally, I don't think Ronaldo is as "bad" as say, Hazard was during his transfer saga. Why? Ronaldo never made his transfer from United to Madrid any much more of a reason of desire for one club than ego dictating that a host of clubs must chase for his signature. Don't get me wrong, Ronaldo is spoilt - a lot of footballers are spoilt. The past Ronaldo, United had kept him under control, and he was at least keeping up on his part of the bargain and was reigned in and kept him under a semi-leash that worked. Now that he's at Madrid, where they actually wholly encourage the vices of the players and throws money at them, I'm not sure if he will be able to accept our management of players anymore - whereby no player is bigger than the club, nor the manager. Ability-wise, he will always be able to fit into any top tier club.
His next step should be the MLS, where he can swim in more wads of cash, "banging" celebrities, having tons of extremely lucrative advertising campaigns... before he ends up being a actor or auto-tuned singer.
Then let's look at it at a personal view. Personally, I think no player who earns more than a million a month should really complain. Even if I tried to be emphatic - even if you're rich, you have your own sets of problems. But those problems are so much lesser than say, most of our common problems by just keeping our bank books in the black; or if you look to Africa, they don't even get a say while suffering.
So it's about perspective. Haven't changed my opinion about Ronaldo at all - spoilt, but amazing footballer.

Yeah, some of these players are earning a Raul Meireles every year. I was also really surprised to see Rooney up there, that's a huge amount. Though the close to 50% tax in France makes Ibra's salary astronomical considering these are probably after tax figures. Same applies for why Ronnie and Messi are so low as Spain taxes close to 40%. They are both on that "Beckham tax law", I think it only covers foreigners working in Spain, which means they only pay 23%, though soon to be 52% as they are doing away with it It just came to me that this is the reason why there may be quite a hitch if contract negotiations have started. Messi and Ronaldo may be earning less gross but more net than most. Foreigner footballers were only playing 24% tax in Spain until last year. Heres the key though, existing contracts weren't affected, so it stayed the same for them. As soon as new deal is on the cards that deal will incur an increase to 52% tax. So god knows how much Ronaldo would want increase but Real would automatically be paying 26% more just to keep net pay the same. So they are probably dragging their heels to not talk to him. Thus the whinefest. So overall it is just about the contract for Ronaldo, but he wants to tie himself down to Madrid for the long term. The thing is Madrid wont want to talk till as late as possible, thus him getting miffed and explaining his twitter remark, I believe. Imo, like some other he's probably just better off shutting up, he's still earning a lot even relatively. I'm pretty sure there'll be less player 'dreaming of Spain' nowadays. Tax in prem has gone from 26% more to 7% less. Not to mention we can also take some off by paying image rights to a company of a player so they only pay corporate tax 28%(?) on some of their wages, like Rooney.

I'd love Ronaldo back. I genuinely miss the Ronaldo songs, when he did the tilting in front of the stretty with the fans to he plays on the left, he plays on the right, I fucking loved it.

I love how Ronaldo has explicitly come out and said the issue isn't money, yet there are a number of people simply saying,
"It's about money."

I love how Ronaldo has explicitly come out and said the issue isn't money, yet there are a number of people simply saying, "It's about money." It is though, indirectly. His comment whilst saying it isn't about money pretty much means its to do with a new deal. Whilst that naturally would suggest a pay rise, its a more complicated situation than that. I'm happy with my own logic for now. Ronaldo wants a new longer deal, Madrid are terrified the overall deal will cost them immensely (without Ronaldo even being significantly richer, hence his words), so best to put of talking for a bit. they refused to talk to him, hes stropping.

www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2199065/Cristiano-Ronaldo-snub-Manchester-City-leaves-Real-Madrid.htmlCristiano Ronaldo is likely to snub a move to Manchester City should he leave Real Madrid - as he doesn't want to hurt Sir Alex Ferguson's feelings. The Portuguese superstar sent shockwaves through the world of football on Sunday after revealing he was 'sad' with life at Madrid. Ronaldo has since denied that he is angling for a new mega-money contract with the Spanish champions, but his pronouncements have alerted Europe's richest clubs. Down The 27-year-old forward is the world's most expensive footballer after his £80million move from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009, and so only those clubs bankrolled by billionaire owners need apply for Ronaldo's signature. That includes the likes of Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain - and City. But Ronaldo has ruled out ever joining the Barclays Premier League champions as he is too close to former boss Ferguson. The Sun quotes a source close to Ronaldo as saying: 'Cristiano has always been close to Alex Ferguson and even now they still talk. Cristiano simply would not risk hurting him by joining Ferguson’s immediate rivals.' Ronaldo recently said that Fergie was 'like a father to him' and rates the Scot alongside current boss Jose Mourinho as the best in the business. He said: 'When I arrived at United I was 18 and Sir Alex was like a father to me. He taught me many things. 'I worked with him for six years and he is a great human, a great coach. Sir Alex and Jose Mourinho are the two best coaches in the world.' Ronaldo had caused the stir by refusing to celebrate his two goals in the win over Granada last weekend, limping off before the end of the match at the Bernabeu. After the match: 'I’m sad - when I don’t celebrate goals it’s because I’m not happy. It's a professional thing. Real Madrid know why I’m not happy.’ --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Almost to be expected, though any un-named source can't be trusted, but you'd like to think there's some truth to it.
