Even though they're both good/decent players who could probably do a job for us, I would honestly be disappointed if this happened. What would this say about our youth policy if we'd rather sign an aging reject over playing the likes of Powell/Tunnicliffe? At best it'd be a stop gap at worst it'd end up like the Pogba situation. Neither are moves in the right direction.

I'd take Lampard if Scholes and Giggs retire, he can be the wise old head in midfield to slow things down and keep possession in tight 1-0 games, plus he's good for 10+ goals a season still, even from deep, unlike the Ginger Prince.

No x 1 million. When they both retire that should be it for the dads army midfield. Time to look forward not sign a pie eating rentboy, id rather entice Scholes to stay on longer.

strictly as a player he'd be a good addition and fergie would utilise him v.well
but again. no way, don't want any rents hopping on our title bandwagon thank you.

i've not been. Giggs and Scholes are worth their weight in gold, who unfortunately get over exposed at times because we are short of quality in midfield, but this aint their fault, and when managed properly they make an impact.

This year I'd say it's more a shortage of depth than a shortage of quality. The injuries to Kagawa and Anderson exposed us somewhat. When everyone's fit I think we have a strong midfield with lots of options.

Hopefully Fabio gets a good run under Harry and can come back and get 20+ games next season, he should be ready to role reverse with Pat the season after and Buttner can get a loan deal inbetween to see if he can cut it. fantasy stuff at this point. i've no idea what's up with fabio. at one point he was preferred to rafa on the right and played in the CL final didn't he. next thing he's out on loan and we buy another LB. at one point i thought he might technically be the better of the two twins, now it's hard to predict how he's going to turn out. looks like Fabio had Moses, Azpicueleta and anything else(Hazard Mata) back pocket.I think he will turn out exactly like his twin just more composed.was always confident of Raf making it ever since the Arsenal volley Fabio is not far behind.
