urgh. wilkins is basically right, he is a good fit for us. and we lack goals from midfield. he's also rent to the core..

We don't really lack goals from midfield anymore. We've got the goal machine T-Clev now.

You know. I wouldn't say no to Lampard, just as I did with Owen... but I'd prefer if we go for someone younger, or Sneijder.
But if we get both Lampard and Sneijder, we would probably have a very bad headache when it comes to team selection.
Powell, Anderson, Cleverley, Scholes, Giggs, Lampard, Sneijder, Fletcher, Carrick and possibly Kagawa (if Fergie converts him). 10 players vying for 2 MC spots... even if we rotate equally, they will each get 1 game per 5 played, and let's not talk about consistency problems. Are we going to offload somebody?
I guess some would say Giggs, Sneijder, Kagawa, Cleverley and Fletcher even can play at the wings... but then I'd rather us go out use the wage money and get a proper kick-ass winger.
SET mentioned (and rightly so) that in today's climate, we don't get to choose per se to snub (for a lack of a better word) world class players, even on high wages... but if we're not going to use them and our current team optimally, then wouldn't that just incur extra monetary losses? I'm not very sure how strong our finances are, but £200k a week plus whatever Lampard will demand is a bit overwhelming.
I'm neutral on this. Just a fan, spectating and speculating pros and cons.

Sneijder wants to come to United, United are just playing it cool in an effort to get him to lower his wage demands.
Altho, Inter have accepted an £8.2mill bid from the turks, so United might want to pull their finger out if they really are interested

I tried that with Hazard. Not so fussed he didn't listen to me now, mouthy, diving, self-agrandising prick.
Get at Ronaldo though, in Portuguese, about the last time he beat Messi to the Ballon D'Or. Who's shirt was he wearing, hmm?

I'd take Lampard if both Scholes and Giggs retired. Would be a good experienced head that could come in and learn Cleverley etc a thing or two. As he's shown with Chelsea this season, can still play at the top level and I'd take him over Giggs (and probably Scholes now) in the middle any day of the year.

oh so its your fault hazard didnt sign I messaged him politely and in his native tongue. I would stab a guess that the people aggressively demanding he sign for United otherwise he is a mercenary prick potentially put him off.

urgh. wilkins is basically right, he is a good fit for us. and we lack goals from midfield. he's also rent to the core.. Know what you're saying Jim. What i'm alluding to is if we did draft Lampard in, and you could see that he was genuinely doing it for us, for a couple of seasons, then i'd be satisfied with that. Think i said it on here before, any player who we draft in, who wears United red, genuinely gives his all and does well for us, etc....i don't think the club he happened to play for previously comes into it, however close to his previous club that he was percieved to be. Not an issue for me that he used to play for Chelsea.

I agree with above, if Scholes and Giggs finish then fine get him, but while their both in the squad whats the point in having him. Im still not interested in either as I dont think either will benefit the squad. Yes Lampard has been playing well for Chelsea but that doesn't mean he will for us, Id take Weshley all day long, Lampard I have less problem with however...
I DONT want that good for nothing cunt Cole at OT. I don't care if hed offer to play for free, Id take Evra on a shit day over that bellend just out of principle.
