Yeah, makes no sense at all. Our defenders have perfect fitness records and we have never been short of players at the back in the past have we? Haha this. we began this season with just the one CB and Vidic wasn't even really fit and hence ended up injuring himself again. At this moment we're managing both Vidic and Rio, knee and back respectively. There's a question mark around both of them for now. If we sign someone, i guess there are some real concerns. Or we dont and this is Guitan mark 2.

vidic one year left on his contract, 32 in october Ferdinand's only got another year left in him before going to the States for a deserved massive payday. Moyes probably sees Jones as a midfielder, and Smalling seems to get injured a fair bit. Garay could be a decent signing, although was made to look a right cunt by Torres the other week.

That's a worry Torres half the player he was made him look a mug, I'd rather take the chance with wooton or keane

Nemanja Vidic doesn't see any problem with that.

I'm with Mightyez on this one - i'd rather see Keane (don't think Wooton will make the grade at United- a lower PL club maybe) given extra game time this season. He had a good loan spell at Leicester. Either that or he goes to Hull on loan this season.
It's not a priority position - unless Moyes is being given one hell of a budget - and if thats the case i'd rather us go for Subotic.
Plus he's Argentinian - the club should know to stick well clear.

I'd actually go for Subotic than Hummels , Hummels seems to have the switching off thingy IMO

More reports from Portugal today stating it's a done deal, just like Kagawa all over again so I think it will happen. I imagine Rio will not play as often next year, then we have Evans, Smalling, Jones and Vidic which is six CB's in total, too many one could say. Maybe Vidic could leave with him being 32 this year and having his fair share of injuries, or maybe Smalling being loaned out to another PL club which could be very beneficial for us.
Either way, Garay is a top notch defender, was brilliant against Falcao and Jackson Martinez the other night.
