Do we really need to spend 18m on another central defender? Why do we keep on blinding ourselves with the real problem areas. For all we know there could be deals done for a couple midfielders already, so they are looking at other areas now, but for one reason or another the deal about Garay got leaked whereas the others havent. There's still just under 2 months till our first competitive game - its not like times running out. |

True, my point mainly being do we need more central defenders, but then if other areas are being worked on then im not overly bothered if we do or not, We all know where the weak areas are. Nice to see us busy in the market though. |

Don't get me wrong, it is somewhat baffling that we are signing another CB when midfield needs work, but there have been plenty of stories and talk of us being in for midfielders and with one thing or another the deals are just taking time to finalise, so im happy to wait and not be bothered about who we sign in the meantime.

Would Think most are when it comes to us buying a Midfield. We were as impatient with Kags deal as well even though all pointed to us being the only club he'd come for and it was almost a done deal. Its the Transfer Virus it can get to all of us.

You do get the feeling that there's some truth in this one as the rumours have been going on for the last six months or so. From what I've seen of him, though I've not seen very much, he seems to be a classy centre back, maybe more Rio than Vida and he's been highly rated since he was a youngster. Remember him being quality on an older version of FM. As long as we're concentrating on a midfielder or two as well I'd be pretty happy.
All in all it looks like we'll be spending a few bob this year, though you can never be sure

I lack patience as do I! Maybe they want Jones as a cover for midfield more next season and think a new cb would be ideal aswel? Wouldn't wish utd's defensive problems in the past on our new manager! Ha could or had a nice kitty saving up for a little revamp to make sure squad is 100%! Wouldn't wanna see Evra playing Right Midfield ha |

A Portugese paper says that Garay has been spotted house hunting in Manchester. Dunno if its true of course, but it does sound inevitable that this will happen. What a summer we could have in store
