Rugby could do with rule changes to encourage more ball in hand and fuck these halfway line penalties, it's just bollocks. England took 15-20 seconds to clear out rucks all game and everytime they just box kicked it instead of trying to put it through their backline. I understand why they played that way but SA made soo many mistakes that alittle more ambition from England could have seen them extend their lead. The weather is a poor excuse, because they play in those conditions alot. To be fair to England (and this is a general point), I have long thought the way the breakdown is now contested and policied, results a lot of the time in slow, boring rugby. I think it's more to do with attitude than anything. If you watch Dupont or Aaron Smith, quick ball is the name of the game. If you recycle the ball quickly then it leads to more line breaks, tries and turn overs and a higher standard of rugby. SA are capable of playing that way but not with someone like De Klerk.

Don't usually pay attention to the 3rd/4th place games but that wasn't a bad game. Always something satisfying about seeing Smith and Farrell planted on their arses aswell 😏.
Looking forward to tomorrow now. Think New Zealand will pinch it though. Looked much the stronger side.

I think if NZ get into a kicking game with this SA they'll probably lose. They'll need another big performance like Ireland game to beat this SA team.

Epic contest. You have to give credit to SA. They won every knockout game by a single point. Shows you how critical kicking is.

Good games I thought. Very little in them.

Good games I thought. Very little in them. Boks vs Ireland was a proper game. Both are so brilliant in defence, and in spite of this some incredible tries. That pass by Lowe was ridiculous. Two best teams in the world right now, for sure.

England were a bit unlucky this morning. They need to stick with Smith at 10 because he makes a huge difference. With all respect, their rugby has been functional at best over the last few years but they played good stuff the last 2 weeks and it’s almost all to do with Smith’s attacking instincts.

The amount of blood spilt so far in this game is insane.
