I was never much a fan of Tool , but my brother has been insisting that I listen to their songs quite persistently for a long time now. So I decided a week back to check them out. Blown away. MJK is a fucking philosopher. Their music and their lyrics are such a fit - a gift to music. I've been listening to their albums since then on repeat almost. How did I not get into this band sooner... very funny. on my way to work right now and listening to tool this very moment. tool has been one of my favourite bands ever. been listening to their music for almost 20 years now. heard they are working on a new album, its been 12 years now since their last. its also worth checking out maynards other projects. i think "a perfect circle" broke up but they did some great records. puscifer is another interesting project with maynard. edit: saw them live in vienna around 2003/2004. an experience i'll never forget, truly magical. Yeah I did a lot of reading about them and they're quite eccentric it would seem. I will be definitely having a go at his other projects. He's fantastic.

I purchased 10000 days when it came out but I can't say it really grabbed me at the time, but I've had numerous bands down the years that I've written off, only for them to suddenly click years later.

He's fantastic. maynard is a maniac. very interesting guy but so are all of them. their music videos are being produced by their drummer if i'm not mistaken, wonderful art. also the live visuals are sick, saw people becoming unconscious at their show due to some badass visuals, laser show and incredible sound.

I've been doing it ever since I developed an Interest in music. I suppose it's a bit like foods you didn't like suddenly becoming nice things to eat. When I first listened to Muse I outright hated them, but at the time I was pretty much only listening to much much heavier stuff than that. Fast forward to now and I fucking love them.

That's me. I fucking hated them originally, then they did knights of cydonia and it blew me away. Might upset a few on here but I still hate The Smiths! Yet I like some of the Morrisey solo stuff.

I'm still nonplussed with the Showbiz album but Origin of Symetry is a classic.

Oh god the Smiths were the bane of my schoolboy life. I was one of the few listening to rock at the time and The Smiths were insanely popular. I absolutely hated them.
