A number of reports today saying we are in for Thiago Alcantara from Barca. THe reports may have the same source but apparently we E made a bid for him 18 months ago, which was turned down,
W old he be good for us?

Not this again. We don't need tippy-tappy Spaniards, we need tough Germans. Or Dutchmen. Or Ivorians. Maybe French. Just no feckin' Spaniards.
Except Javi Martinez.

The Ivorians crack was a joke (because we always seem to be linked to Tiote). I don't know if we should try for him or not to be honest.
And it doesn't matter what the international side has won, it's not our style. We suit fast-paced football, not loaded possession with undulating end product.

He can pick the easy, Nicky Butt pass and put in a firm tackle. If we aren't going to put Jones into that role, we need someone who can do that.
Literally the only reason I'm still slightly curious.

his head goes. fergie wouldn't trust him in a game such as against madrid. i wouldn't either

If there was a man to sort his head out though, isn't it Fergie? There's enough in Tiote's game to make me wonder about him in a United shirt. But he certainly wouldn't be first choice, and if it was some cut-price deal because they went down or something?

If there was a man to sort his head out though, isn't it Fergie? im sure there would be games when he looked really impressive, but i just can't see him being good enough against the top, top sides. Jones can do what he did against Ronaldo and against Bale because he has everything tiote's got and a lot more, and importantly because he's got a football brain.

Hence my wishing-beyond-wish to see The Punisher in a full-time midfield role.

I don't know that much about him. Where is his natural position? CM or attacking mid behind the striker/s. If it's the latter, we don't really need him, but are probably more likely to go for him, knowing Fergie.
