Wrong you mug. I've already said I quite fancy a bit of Fabregas if he's going. But as I've said before, we need something else before we start thinking about nice passers. To say I automatically don't rate/want Spaniards from outside of Real is ridiculous. Go read the Javi Martinez thread and see who was one of the biggest proponents for signing him. Glad you agree Thiago ain't right for us though. oh yeah? i must have missed your back peddaling on that one. |

I'm not sure what Thiago is, if he's an advanced midfielder then i agree it's not a priority. Fabregas can operate bang in the middle of the pitch, his best position, i'd be all over that one.

I would definately have him. We need 2 CM now. 1 for the Ginger Legend, 1 for Anderson, should he leave.
Edit: I would prefer one of the 2 be a technically sound enforcer. If we get only 1 CM then i'd want this first.

that would really limit petrucci he is much better as an attcking mid or a no.10.

Just saying that we need to consider that there is more than just the current gaping hole to fill with those two signings. So if this Thiago kid, for example, can do the Scholes role and the Carrick pivot role, then happy days. |

what about powell does anyone know what is happening with him, fergie has said he can replace scholes but from what i have seen he seems better further up the pitch.
if he is a scholes replacement then really he should be getting games this new season and we should just spend money on 2 box to box mids and allow powell / cleverly to create.

I laughed at your 80 million years reference. But you know what, all the time I am supporting UTD I have to say SAF's refusal to sign a quality midfield in the past 5 years still has me bemused and perplexed. I honestly believe we would have at least 1 more CL if he had of strengthen this area of the pitch. I think Moyes will sign 2 CM's and I think we are going to be stronger next year. Don't shoot me guys but SAF refusal to strengthen midfield had me doubting him somewhat these past few years. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes is whats needed. I cant comment on Thiago as I have not seen much of him at all. You guys seem to be mixed on him. I would defo take fabregas and to use Jims phrase "Bang in the middle" is where he would play. He would strengthen us no end in my opinion. |
