Good to see him doing so well.
Should get a petition going to get him to come back. He'd sort this shit out.

I was rewatching Thor: Ragnarok the other night. In it, Thor's father (the almighty Odin) passes away, and the Goddess of Death is released unto the world. I feel like Fergie is Odin, and the Goddess of Death is Liverpool. As long as Fergie stays strong, the scouse can be held at bay. I hope he's around for many years yet. The irony being I hope the vermin aren't

Was thinking the same thing considering what he went through. Absolutely delighted to see him, what a man. Respect. ✊🏻

www.empireonline.com/movies/news/alex-ferguson-documentary-works/Regular readers of Empire will know that one or two writers – particularly ones whose surnames rhyme with "Chewitt" – will slip football references into their copy from time to time. Or a lot. So here's something directly related to the sport: a documentary about veteran Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is on the way. The still-untitled film should boast plenty of close access to the man, his family and colleagues, as the director is his son, Jason Ferguson, who has been in development for two years. It'll chart Ferguson senior's early years growing up in the shipbuilding district of Govan in Glasgow, via the Theatre of Dreams at Old Trafford where he achieved unparalleled success on the football pitch, to the ICU ward at Salford Royal hospital where he was recently treated for a near-fatal brain haemorrhage. In his 26-year career with United, Ferguson shepherded teams to 38 trophies, including 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two Champions Leagues. His son has recorded more than 60 hours of audio interviews, and the main shoot on the film kicks off in October, with backing from DNA Films and Searching For Sugar Man production company Passion Pictures. "I have been approached many times over the years to make a film on my life but did not feel comfortable until this point," Alex Ferguson says in a statement. "When the team behind this project was presented to me, and after we spent time discussing their thoughts and approach on what the film could be, I felt confident that I was in good hands. The process so far has been natural and enjoyable and I look forward to making the best film we can." No release date is on the books for this one just yet.

Sir Alex Ferguson was surprised by members of Manchester United's Class of '92 at The Ivy in Manchester city centre. Former United players Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt all arrived at the newly opened restaurant in Spinningfields before their former manager and waited inside to surprise him. Ferguson, who suffered a brain haemorrhage in May, arrived 10 minutes later for what he thought was a normal lunch to be surprised by some of his former players, according to onlookers. The Scot played a crucial role in all four players' careers and they were all among the thousands of well-wishers who sent messages when the United great was taken ill in the summer. The 76-year-old made his return to Old Trafford for the draw against Wolves back in September where he was given a warm welcome from the Old Trafford crowd. In July, Ferguson recorded a video message to thank the staff at the three hospitals which helped him. "Hello, just a quick message first of all to thank the medical staff at Macclesfield, Salford Royal, and Alexandra Hospitals," Ferguson said. "Believe me, without those people, who gave me such great care, I would not be sitting here today. So thank you from me and my family. Thank you very much. "It’s made me feel so humble, as all the messages I've had from all over the world wishing me the best and the good wishes do resonate very, very strongly with me. So thank you for that support you've given me. "And lastly, I’ll be back later in the season to watch the team. And in the meantime, all the best to Jose and the players. Thank you very much." www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/man-utd-sir-alex-ferguson-15554236.amp?__twitter_impression=true
