To needs to improve because at the moment,he obviously ain't doing enough,if he were,I don't think the club we be so reluctant to let Rooney go. Kagawa could be become another Veron,a great player, that never quite managed to perform consistently for us. What games are you watching? He was miles better than Rooney last year. I am a big fan of giving Kags a key role in our team. However Rooney staying and the new manager being such an admirer of his I fear for Kags. I am still scratching my head how he didn't get 20 mins the other night?

If Moyes see's him as a 10,then there was no way on earth, that Rooney was going to subbed off the other night. Rooney's form was indifferent last season, but until they fell out,SAF was going with Rooney more so than Kagawa. Perhaps, Moyes needs to find a way of accommodating both, nice problem to have!

No no no, we cannot accommodate Rooney unless he plays up top, which he ain't going to do whilst RvP is still around. He's not good enough as a #10, people praise him for his performance on Monday but it was for all the wrong reasons, we want a #10 who can create something out of nothing, can give us creativity and can dissect defences with killer balls, Rooney struggles to do any of these. The highlight of the match for him on Monday was tracking back to our byline to tackle Ramires which says it all really. If we are going to continue to play Kagawa the odd game here and there in different positions I'd rather we just fucked him off back to Dortmund in a swap with Gundogan or Reus.

So here's a crazy theory - I'm beginning to think this entire episode was orchestrated by Sir Alex. He noticed Rooney's jaded attitude at the end of last season and came up with this master plan to make everyone look like a winner. Rooney seems reinvigorated and we'll only benefit from that. Moyes comes out of this a winner. Our home and away support get great press for being 'special'.
As Jim says, the old man is truly a wizard!

I would love to think this was the case but I don't think so.

I know. It seems a little far fetched, but I wouldn't put it past the great man. Anyway, I'm convincing myself it was all his will. Makes me feel better about the whole situation in retrospect.

Looks like he's been experiencing a bad case of Phil Jones.
I'm amazed he's still breathing.

Can we close this one? As it seems like he's more than happy to stay.
