What do people think to him? Supposedly a fall back option for Fabregas according to The Times. Personally, I think he's a good box to box midfielder who gets stuck in, good passing range and creative, not sure if he's at the level we'd require though. Saying that, he performs well for France and could raise his game in a better team. Would obviously prefer Fabregas or Modric, but wouldn't be the worst signing we could make this summer.

SET mate that is not funny ,dead serious man , as much as Gibson may have had a good day against City , we'd rather have Fellaini ( BTW i don't rate him as equals to Gibson). Don't do that mate

I would rather we waited to next Summer if we cant acquire our top targets, we have enough to get by if we give the young lads e few games and next Summer could see a a few unhappy Bayern players available and a Fabregas actually ready to leave the camp Nou

NO would have to disagree there Areba , i wouldn't go too much with Pre season. Januzaj and Lingard need some more time and some more Bulk before we can bring them in to PL. Cup Runs and sub apperances later stage should be a start. They'd be easily injured or open to too much attention and criticism it could work against them. + Its not just for want of a Super star in Midfield , we actually need to bring in players cos we'd be stretched thin come our annual Med Visit Period. Next summer is Next summer perhaps for one of those "Bargain Buys" from Bayern but we still need to buy players this summer.

If Fabregas turns us down I hope we go for someone other than Cabaye. Too rash and not United material imo. In an ideal world we'd be going after someone like Gundogan, Vidal or Marchiso. But the reality is we'll most likely end up with one of Cabaye or Fellaini, and out of those two evils I prefer the latter.

Say we go for Cabaye(3rd choice at best), who would improve us but not by a great deal, then Fabregas decides he wants out. Do we sell Cabaye or let him stay as a rotation option? Its not like we were way off the pace last year and need to drastically improve. We have only lost Scholes, who IMO along with Giggs in there was the reason we lost so many midfield battles last season. I dont think either Januzaj or Lingard would be broken in the PL, they have outstanding technical ability and both protect the ball very well, the players themselves get much more protection these days and it hasnt stopped Liverpool (Coutinho, Sterling)or Chelsea (Hazard, Oscar) fielding midgets/youngsters in the first team where they have excelled. Messi was even smaller and he was on Barcas bench since he was 17 and they gave him as much game time as possible and the rest is History, these kids will never excel if we dont give them a proper shot.

Surprised how many people wouldn't want to sign him, he ain't my first choice by any means but I'd take him every day of the week if it was him or no midfielder. I think Januzaj could hold his own already, he's bulked up considerably and I think he'd be fine in the PL, much better physique than say Sterling for example. Lingard however looks too lightweight so he'll need to hit the gym. Wouldn't surprise me if Lingard goes out on loan but I think we'll see Januzaj feature in the PL next season, I hope he does anyway. Fergie seemed to be very reluctant to use the young players but I think with Moyes, if Januzaj carries on the way he has been on this tour, he could be around the first team come the start of the season.

Nothing against Cabaye, I think he is a good player who would be a good addition to the squad but I would like us to replace the talent we lost with Scholes. We have enough players who can do a good enough job in there, I think we need to buy special, top class talent or not at all.
I hope your right about Moyes giving the young lads a shot. Lingard is a very clever player and could provide a lot of creativity to the side, he shields the ball very well and has excellent technique, he would draw a lot of fouls so it may be an advantage. Januzaj is an exciting talent as is Zaha. Thats 3 potentially outstanding players who need games to push on. There is also Nick Powell who could be another World beater. There is nothing better than seeing young players coming through, if we give any of those lads the opportunities we gave Ronaldo they may take their chance like he did.

Hes a good mid table player and thats all I think hell bring to United, good. Not excellent, which is what we need in the midfield dept. We dont want to consolidate ordinary like Arsenal have done over the past few years with the signings of Arteta, Giroud, Podolski etc.

Neither Arteta nor Podolski are 'ordinary'. Nope, Podolski is less than Ordinary. He may improve but he's just uninteresting.

I can't see how signing someone in the Fabregas mould would effect Januzaj, Zaha, etc. anyway because they all play further forward.
