Jose Mourinho felt the Old Trafford crowd was 'quiet' on Saturday but Ander Herrera showed his appreciation for the Manchester United supporters who chanted his name.
United supporters serenaded Herrera, who has become a cult figure during his three years with the club, on the J Stand concourse and one Red uploaded a video of the chorus onto his Instagram page, tagging Herrera and his partner.
Isabel Collado expressed her approval with a number of enthusiastic emojis and Herrera posted an appreciative message to the supporters who sang his name.
Herrera wrote: "Love it!! I really appreciate it! You all are with me through thick and thin. Thank you so much."
The United fan who uploaded the video replied: "All of us in J Stand are with you," and suggested Herrera should inherit the captaincy.
Herrera's chant is the third United effort to the tune of Creedence Clearwater Revival's Bad Moon Rising after Stretford End Arising and You Think That You're Moustache Is Trendy, a ditty mocking City fans.
Mourinho demanded more noise from United supporters in the south stand towards the end of the weekend win over Leicester and spoke about the atmosphere after the game.
"I saw the ball jumping in the net, or the guys jumping, I don't know," he said of Marcus Rashford's opener. It was the first time I listen to the crowd because they were very quiet today.
"So it would be easy to know that was a goal because it was the first time I really understand the stadium was full."
