The smart thing to do is not allow player contracts to get so close to the end date. They wrongly presumed that it was a formality he would sign. Just because we can get players to renew who are just happy to be here doesn’t mean they all will. Exactly. Woodward seems to decided on this as a strategy recently and it’s a disaster waiting to happen. It’s going to happen with Dave. A few mistakes from him recently shouldn’t mask what a catastrophe him going will be. |

Everything that I have seen says we offerd him to nearly double his wages but they wanted more how much truth is in that fuck knows bit I do know he isn't worth the money he is asking for, its about the club takes a stand on these wages, it's just a shame we didn't also take that stand with young smalling and jones

Really, they're not?Forget about the debate about possible wages, because that's a different argument. I'm going to be blue in the face attempting to put this point across, again. I'll explain it a different way, so Ander was in a situation of contract limbo if you will initially, because of the gross neglect and spectacular incompetence of the hirearchy within the club, which is rampant. This has continued to this point. The supposedly self proclaimed biggest club in the world let Herrera's and other players contracts run down, couldn't be arsed to sort it, like a proper club would. Hence, due to total inactivity, Ander has decided to move on. How on earth can that even be questioned? What incentive was he ever given to stay? Zero. It's a all round fucking disgrace from the board, the Glazer's, Ed and his cronies and the dogs on the street know it. The end. Nope. They're definitely not. Yes, they definitely are. Most of us agree with you on that one, there incredibly incompetent but in this instance, my only criticism is they didnt recoup something in the transfer market. |

Thank you for your service, Ander. I could never fault your attitude while you were here- especially during the LVG years when you had every right to complain.
Certainly a player who made the most of his (relatively) limited abilities and showed an above average understanding of the intricacies of the game/shithousery.
The sad thing about this whole situation is that the main things we will be missing Ander for imho (passion, willingness to run, courage, leadership, love for the club) are table stakes for a player at Manchester United. You shouldn't even be part of the conversation unless you have those. However you need much more, i.e. world class ability and the belief that nothing but being #1 is good enough.
Let us put the Ander situation in its rightful place: A solid player who def made our team play better, esp. under Ole. Not worth the wages he was offered by PSG. Right to move on for his own personal goals.
Now, let's not let these bastards in charge of our club distract us from the real issue. We have a disgusting amount of players who don't even meet the above-mentioned table stakes requirements.

Letting his contract run down is a separate issue no one should be surprised about that, incompetence is Woodward’s middle name.
As a player I thought he was good but not great and we should have great players at Man Utd, Slipping standards are a big part of why we are shit right now.

There seems to be a complacent attitude when it comes to transfers. Young got his contract renewed for another year and there were photos of him with the manager. They seem to be treating players differently. No wonder some players are getting a bit miffed. Look at the big salary package Sanchez got. Do the club not realise they are making a rod for their own back? |
