His first transfer window was a nightmare. But we also had a new manager, a pretty bad one too IMO. He's doing much better than Gill now. Its like your first few days in a new job. Your all fingers and thumbs, you drop bollocks, and dont do a good job. Then the penny drops and suddenly you realise its not so hard as you thought it was. Its took Ed a little longer, but hes now got the knack! |

The demands of the manager may have changed since then, but the way we're handling our business is brilliant. |

None of us know how easy or difficult it is to conclude a transfer (it's presumably far trickier than we imagine), so well done to Ed on the business so far, which has addressed serious needs without spending a fortune. But the one thing Ed has played an absolute blinder in regards to De Gea. Perhaps the Ramos thing helped it but he must have seen an opening there and he's taken it. De Gea is on the plane and it really seems that we've held to the idea of Ramos or nothing for De Gea. Sid lowe and Hunter both said it unsettled Perez and put him on the back foot. If we can do all this and still get Otamendi, then Ed has proven himself to be an operator of the highest order I think. Still a few pieces need to fall into place but all the signs are Ed is improving each window.

It's great that they have signed on the day they go on tour. Just think, when they get off the plane, they will see themselves just how big we are with the reception they get.

it's crazy to have three signings over a weekend like this. I felt like every time I woke up in the morning here in the states we had a new signing lol! I love it! Keep it up Ed to magnificent bastard!
