I wonder how LVG now being in the top job will change names on the "get shot of" list?
It was mentioned in another thread that as Buttner didn't even get in the Dutch national squad he's unlikely to be wanted by the manager at club level.
I can't see a role for Fellaini personally, and think we will see the back of Cleverly and Anderson (depending who the gaffer brings in). Carrick and Fletcher will hopefully stay as back-ups and for cup games, they are United lads and we need to retain some of the old school IMO.
Will Young and Valencia be retained? (out of the two, I'd rather see Young be sold).
Whatever, I'm sure there will be plenty of comings and goings to keep us all entertained in the coming months!

I would like to see the back of Young and I hate to say it, Cleverly. I think Clev could even do with a year out on loan again to get some confidence back, but not a good sign that so many folk have turned on him.

Because Cleverley (with the club since he was in short trousers) isn't a United lad? I reckon Clevs is exactly the sort of player van Gaal can either move to a new level or repurpose.

Totally, Carrick & Fletcher aren't irreplaceable, they are pretty old and probably less adaptable than Clevers who would likely be encouraged to play more forward-thinking football under LVG.
Ando, I mean, the less said.
Sell him, cancel his contract, give him a job at the chippy outside the ground, just keep him off the pitch in our shirt.

Fair point, but he's so inconspicuous I forgot that.

Do you think he would give Ando a chance? After all, before we 'repurposed' him he was the outstanding young attacking midfielder around at the time...
Also, it would be great if he could get Clevs back to the pre-assault form that he was showing...
And Kags...will he find a role under LvG? He has all the attributes required...
...and then there's Nani...he was awesome once - could he be so again?
So many questions - so many permutations...

So much HOPE!!! What even is that?! It's what kills you eventually. Wait, no, sorry, I thought we were still under Moyes' leadership for a second there. Yeah, what actually is hope?

The latest bit of bullshit from the Sunday Express: "Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is ready to sell midfielder Juan Mata as Barcelona line up a £40million bid."

These tabloids and their shitty posts. Yesterday, they said saints rejected the £27m bid for shaw. Today, they said there might be fears that nobody may join man utd. Before the world cup, schemichel says that all of lvg's targets were willing to join man utd. The only reliable source for me is sky sports
