Oh Bestie... I agree about the state we are in now, i'd be happy to see him try now as this season is all but a write off. BUT i think he still missed a beat with the capital one cup this year. Would love to see Jesse get a start against Fulham! but honestly do we see Moyes doing that? NOPE Its like watching your ex gf going out with ya best mate at the moment lol..

Well, we're 15 points off the top in Febrauary. Exactly how much more crumbling could we do with trying a few of the youth prospects? And as you agree, we can't even be sure Moyes knows a top-class replacement to what hwe have. Doesn't even need to be top class right now. Just better than what we have. ProTip David: That doesn't mean Phil "Y"agielka. Im waiting for that, YagYelka will be our nxt choice frm the clown To be fair, Moyes only wants the best players. He only went after Fellaini due to having unrealistic targets. He'd be more likely to go after Hummels than Jagielka.

NO.
(On principle, but actually, yes, I would quite like having him back. Could send a terrible message though, that we're happy with a cloggers as it will no doubt be spun by the media/ABUs. Shawcross is a better player than that though.)

Well, that's certainly the glass half full version. I didn't say he'd get him. A bid of 12mil out in public wouldn't surprise me. He's turned you into a pessimist Stew. You need to be a bit half glass full in life. And United supporters have more reason to be happy than any other club in the land despite this abysmal season.

Good call, I have a recollection that Ferguson was gutted to let him go. Anyone confirm?

Maybe I am spoilt but you see I've experienced this already, unlike a lot of you younger guys. And I really didn't expect to have to go through it again. I thought Fergie had built us into a Real Madrid, a Bayern, a Barca, a real superpower. I genuinely didn't think one person could destroy almost 3 decades of hard work in 8 or 9 months. I was very badly wrong.

That's it, only let him go because he couldn't give enough playing time to both and then Pique got homesick anyways.

We let Shawcross go because we had Rio, Vidic, Jones and Pique. It was only a year later Pique said he wanted to go. I think if Fergie had known Pique was off earlier, we'd probs still have Shawcross.
