I mean, I guess so but it's not exactly a pressing concern. Just for you, pal. Better?

Interesting article on Yahoo News
USA is seeking to extradite several of Blatter's top people, filing corruption charges on them for the awarding of the world cup (to the highest briber instead of bidder)
Wish they would have gotten papers on that fooker Blatter, the man is EVIL. US/Canada South America England and Europe all need to break away from that corrupt bunch of buttheads and go their own way, and run it the right way

I would bet the US going after them was something which was discussed by several "interested" parties. With the RICO laws in US, (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) there is broad power for prosecutors to charge the people involved and prosecute them. Came about to make the "kingpins" in organized crimes liable for the acts of their underlings, so my guess is they are likely bringing in Blatter's henchmen and are going to make an effort to scare hell out of them and have them give up the big cheese himself. Would imagine that there will be multi-country input in terms of evidence as the case gets rolling along, seems like I read somewhere that there was proof on more than one occasion of bribe money being paid to Fifa officials. Take em on a visit to a prison and then ask them if they want to become biatches, or if they want to help take down Mr Blatter Will be interesting to follow

Knowing how Blatter is the godfather of the corruption that has plagued FIFA, and that he had not been indicted, I can't help think that there was some sort of pay off straight to the someone at the FBI. All the previous whistle blowers and exclusives link Blatter with the corruption so where is his name on the indictment?

Our cousins don't usually do irony, but an assistant DA-correct me if I'm wrong-called it "a World Cup of fraud" and that FIFA have been given "a red card" Well done FBI for doing what you've done, long overdue. Makes you wonder how they've got away with investigating and then clearing themselves over the last few years and that Swizerland never carried out their threat to boot them out of their country if their act wasn't cleaned up. FA and UEFA should pull out of FIFA and start their own world tournament-but they won't, more's the pity.

Corruption goes back 20 years according to the FBI, what a joke. Especially as when the FA were bidding for 2006 they sent us to play a crappy little FIFA tournament whilst the Germans were probably hosting a beer Kellar and back handing them Euro's

This is the first (public) salvo from the FBI, and i think this is a play to get more of the high ranking, but not quite top FIFA exec's. IMHO it would have been premature to hold Blatter today, especially with the few co-operating people that they seem to have. to get the head of a RICO type organisation the evidence has to be overwhelming and water tight. usually it's the guy at the top that can afford the world class defence team to tear the prosecution to shreds if they don't get everything right in putting the case together, so holding Blatter now may have been counter-productive. the guys held today, though wealthy and able to afford a good defence team, probably would rather roll on Sepp than spend their's and their family's entire savings in putting up a defence. Ultimately Sepp standing for president may have been his own death knell. he signalled to the world that he wasn't going to leave the halls of football power by choice, so the only way to stop the ever-corrupting cycle is to take him out forcibly. I really dont think this FBI investigation would have been pursued this way had he not stood for another term. I've got no evidence to support this, it's just my gut feeling. Sepp would have known about this investigation from as far back as 2010, around when the Bin Hammam stuff came out. He hasn't set foot on American soil for a veeeery long time for that same reason. So why he didn't just stick to his own word and remove himself from the limelight is beyond comprehension. His being there is essentially a red flag to the Raging bull of the FBI. I very much doubt he will walk away from this when the dust settles.
