The Russkies are now crying foul saying USA have been involved in an "illegal,extra-territorial implementation of American Law" Wonder if THEY have anything that they want to keep hidden under the rug? Russia-corruption? The very thought.

Corruption goes back 20 years according to the FBI, what a joke. Especially as when the FA were bidding for 2006 they sent us to play a crappy little FIFA tournament whilst the Germans were probably hosting a beer Kellar and back handing them Euro's That why we (allegedly) went over to the Caribbean to play a game during our (failed) bid, keeping Mr Warner on-side,fat lot of good it did us.

According to FBI Chuck Blazer pled guilty and rolled over, recording (allegedly) illicit conversations on a key ring recorder that the FBI gave him,the Feds went from there. All Swiss employees of FIFA are now banned from getting the hell out of Dodge now too! Tick tock Sepp, tick tock.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32904696Lineker having his say, a good one too.. How do you react to today's news? I suppose it is surprising in terms of the timing and scale of it but I don't think any of us are particularly surprised about the allegations of corruption within Fifa. There has already been many examples of that in previous years but I think it just shows you how deeply engrained within the corporation it is. Fifa says it welcomes any investigations into wrongdoing, is it doing enough? Fifa's clearly not doing enough. It's not done enough in terms of corruption that's for sure. Of course it says it welcomes investigations but how many people left in Fifa have not been accused of various wrongdoings. It is quite clear that either Fifa needs to be completely transparent, they need to pretty much start again or it needs to be taken out of their hands. The major federations need to boycott Fifa. If you got the English, the Germans, the Spanish, the Italians, the Americans, the Brazilians and major forces in world football come together and say we've had enough of this, it is time we come together and say listen we've had enough of this, it's time we do things differently more transparently, the way the game deserves. Is there a will out there for this to happen? I think this will help towards getting the result we'd all like and have wanted for some time. It will be interesting because Fifa tends to find a way of wriggling out of things. In any other corporation, if there was so many things that were found to be corrupt, then the man at the top would go - but that doesn't seem to be the case with Fifa. Sepp Blatter faces an election in two days' time, where does it leave him? It wouldn't surprise me if the election went ahead and he walked away with it as he always seems to do. He has all the people he needs on his side, that's how you get money into your particular area of the world. None of them would want to vote for someone that might lose because it weakens their position in Fifa. The election should be suspended for now - common sense should prevail - but common sense doesn't always exist in the towers of Fifa.

Scum, every single lot of them, and Blatter needs himself taking down, his head removing and put on a spike

The election should be suspended for now - common sense should prevail - but common sense doesn't always exist in the towers of Fifa. I can tell you something - CBF (the Brazilian confederation) is taken by corruption and they're on FIFA's side, administrated by people we don't want. Jose Maria Marin, one of the 7 arrested in Switzerland is the vice-president of the entity. In the same line you have the CONCACAF president, Webbs, arrested as well. I can't see the big confederations jumping off the board as they widely benefit from it. For example, Tavecchio is the president of the Italian confederation, I believe you know the despicable person he is. FIFA must be reconstructed from the ground for the sakes of football. By the way I'm surprised you didn't include AFA (Argentina) with the other big federations. Today is a happy day, a start to battle corruption.

Russia-corruption? The very thought. well, I kinda, sorta agree. What place does the FBI have investigating an orginasiation that isn't even based in the US? Don't get me wrong, FIFA have had this coming but I'm not sure who decided the FBI should be involved

Didn't think overseas fell into FBI jurisdiction but it's bloody good they are actually doing something about it.

They are not getting Blatter from that. He hasn't been on US soil for a while. Can they put pressure on these people to do deals & sell out Blatter for other crimes or is only crimes on US soil?

Move it to a non slave labour country I can take the family too. Tbh though I wouldn't mind it being pissed off for a while. The international game is fantastic in some ways but mostly doesn't fit in with Club football anymore. I'd like to see some different end of year tournaments for a while. no friendlies & qualifiers against Shit nations. Shorten the Domestic season by not having international weeks & then at the end of the year throw in some tournaments like the South American & African Nations do. England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, France, Spain, Germany etc get together & play a tournament with home & away games. None of this massive building stadiums & all this shit. play at the grounds we love. I'd watch the shit out of that.

One of the things makes the Euro, Copa América etc special is that they take a while to happen, thus the medal is much more worthy. As a South American, I have no idea of what "then at the end of the year throw in some tournaments like the South American & African Nations do" mean as CONMEBOL organizes Copa América at every four years (the edition of the 2016 one is different because it is supposed to celebrate the centenary of this competition) and what else, men national team football talking? My friend asked a curious question these days that kept me wondering - how are they hosting a WC in a country you're not allowed to drink in public?

Thought. Isn't there also a Gold Cup and and American thing including Central and Nothern America? I might be talking rubbish but i thought South America was part of several tournaments
